Best house alarm system?

I work for a security installer, and we do cover some of London. I'm not sure I can post our website though as we also sell CCTV equipment, which Overclockers sell.

I've left you a message via trust though.

Yes and so what??...wow some of you dog owners are pretty tempermental arent you??.

FYI not everyone likes dogs and the smell that comes from them;).

Of course they are temperamental, they spend their lives talking to dogs like they are human as a baby substitute. ;) Only thing worse is a cat lover :D

Having all your neighbours with alarms is the best way. No-one knows if you have one or not and are just being stealthy. This does not cost a penny.

Dualcomm 4 lyfe y0!

To the op. get a couple of quotes for the same range of kit then go with who your gut tells you to go with. Don't bother with DIY systems, save your money and get it done properly. If you want signalling it's not cheap but worthwhile for that extra piece of mind.

Are you going to bring out a bus lead for the galaxy series? I think one of the salesmen said something about it some time ago. (the 4 pin plug on adapter)

I haven't read any of the thread but I bet some say 'a dog'.
I worked in a Juvenile Prison and not one inmate was EVER put off by a dog in the house.

On top of the dog. License is easy to get.

I should point out that nearly all alarm systems can send you an SMS to your mobile regarding recent events (intrusion, fire, tamper etc).
Either as part of their range or a bit of add-on kit.

This kit starts at around £70

All a monitoring system does is send the same message via SMS or dialup/IP/3G or Redcare$$$ to a flunky who will check the system and decide to ring the Police or not.

Essentially you are paying extra to give the police a tipoff, when really insurance covers everything anyway.
