What film did you watch last night?

Couple from last few days

Haywire - couldn't get into it, really wanted to but didn't find it flowed right and was very trying to follow the plot for me, might have been because I got a little bored i was day dreaming.

Shame - really well done, great acting and got its point across very well. Found it quite enjoyable - says a lot about me...

When Harry Met Sally. It was great. "Romantic comedy" can feel like dirty words, as most romantic comedies fail on two counts: they are neither romantic, nor comedic. This, however, was both. We laughed all the way through, and it was really sweet as well. Sorted. Well worth a watch.

Battleship - 6/10

Not bad but not great either. The way they made the film feel with the battleship game element was a little weird but kinda worked.

What gave it the points was the cracking alien ships and good battle scenes!!!!

Note: You can stay until after the end credits, but it isn't something particularly exciting.

Lockout.

Was fairly good if you disconnect your brain and not concentrate on the fairly large holes.

Enjoyed the performance from Woody (This is England) and Maggie Grace is hot.

Thought Guy Pierce's character was quite funny.

6/10.

In Time

Difficult one...I really liked the concept but certain really basic glaring things stood out to really irritate.

At one point one character says to the other who has just come out of the ghetto and goes everywhere by bus "do you know how to drive?" and he replies "what's to know" as he performs a handbrake turn while reversing at speed to avoid a bus...

Also, they are always in a rush as they have a limited amount of time to live...it would have been much more believable if the woman took off her 6" heels that she was trying to run in...

As it's by the guy who wrote and made Gattaca I think I was expecting something...more...it was less thought provoking and more action film which left both me and the misses thinking 'meh'.

6/10

I stupidly watched Irreversible last night for the umpteenth time.

Hint to magnolia : Don't watch harrowing films when drunk. It doesn't make them less harrowing.

Oh, and it's a 10.

Not really last night, but during the last week:

Flushed Away - one of the best animated comedy films of the last decade, and one of my absolute favourites. 9/10 Always puts a smile on my face. :D

Jurassic Park - classic film and great entertainment 9/10.
