I also had a Amstrad CPC464 with the monitor thingy :)

Only mine developed a fault in the tape deck and it kept stopping during the loading so games were a gamble if they loaded, i once played Oh Mummy and Harrier Attack into the early hours lol.

Went onto a Amiga 500 woooooo what a machine.

Atari 520 STFM

Was talking to my old man about this today, the very first computer we had was a ZX Spectrum, followed by a Amiga 600 and then a NES.

The ZX Spectrum was a funny old machine, it ran on tapes and took like 10 mins or so to load just for it to crash :) lol, those were the days!

The Amiga was my favourite though, i think almost every game i had on that was pirated/copied disk lol, and i had 100s of them, and everyone i knew also had tons of pirated games, god knows how that generation survived!

Amiga 500-1200 with HD

PC 486 DX2 66 with a single speed CD rom
(7th Guest, Day of the Tentacle, Sam & Max Hit the Road) ahhhh joy ;)

I had an Atari 520 STFM - those letters after it were very important, it meant that it wouldn't play some games and what I really wanted was an Atari 1040 STE. I even remember buying the Sleepwalker game for Comic Relief and realising that it wouldn't work on my ST so I took it round to a mates to play and left it there for a while - I never did get it back. :o

Not including consoles the next computer was an Amstrad 1640 that I was given by a neighbour who was throwing it out. I messed about with that for a little while before deciding I wanted a slightly more up to date PC so managed to sell it so I could buy a P120.

//edit I'm still hoping that someone makes a copy of Supercars II for Android, a brilliant game and it should even work quite well on a mobile phone.

VIC 20 - my mum used to copy the programs from Ceefax or somewhere :O
Speccy 128k +2? tape deck one. My mate had a +3 with disk drive. so 1337
Amiga A500 all my mates had one. Disk copy Frenzy.

But you could never read the damn codes because of crappy VCRs making the picture fuzzy and jumpy when paused :D

Ah, you kids who've always had the internet have it so easy. We had to work for our cheats.

Remember spending hours trying to get games to load from cassette tape / normal tape recorder, adjusting the volume and watching games start to load...wait 5mins...only for it to fail at the end....
