Agree. It is good to see both lotus drivers on the podium. Really thought kimi was going to have vettel. Was onboard with him for 10 or so laps when he was 1.5s behind and his driving was very controlled and smooth.

Anyone else who feels a bit 'meh' about the Bahrain GP? Nice circuit, but in terms of an event there's hardly any atmosphere, hardly any shots of the fans (if there are any), just a bunch of smiley smiley Sheikh type guys who've bought themselves a GP just because they can, and Bernie rolling in it.

Speaking of whom, I missed most of the pre race stuff this time, was Bernie actually around this weekend? All I remember was a reporter asking him in China if he was going to be in Bahrain and he angrily said 'what a stupid question'... lol

Amazing race for Renault (I mean Lotus) and PDR.

I think McLaren can consider themselves incredibly lucky that going into the European races they are only a few points behind in the constructors championship and both drivers are still in the fight for the WDC, because they seem to be doing everything possible to throw it away!

Yeah I agree. Looks nothing like Silverstone, Brazil or Spa for instance, in terms of atmosphere..

Bernie was there this weekend. Made a comment about being happy to drive with FI after p2 but that was about it.

Haha for a guy who's been out of F1 for a while and comes 2nd in his 4th race back in an unremarkable team, he hasn't said a single positive thing so far (oops one thing right at the end)
