What film did you watch last night?

Haywire...about 5/10, sterile and diluted, can't believe Soderbergh directed this!

I was very disappointed with this.

The fight scenes were good and seeing a woman fight with genuine ability was refreshing, however, the plot was all over the place. This was mainly down to the fact that they use a series of flashbacks to tell the story.

5/10.

[Without the female lead, I would give this 3/10]

Independence Day

One of those movies I could re-watch. The CGI wasn't bad either. (16 years old :o)

If you like that, you might like Roland Emmerich's other movies, which include 2012 and The Day After Tomorrow. Both these movies feature CGI and high budgets.

Watched Sucker punch last night

oh my god, still not quite sure what to make of it,

it is good, cast is ok, but could have been better, Soundtrack with the exception of that butchered hip-hop/queen song was absolutely amazing,
just getting into that first fight scene with the huge samurai and 'Army of me' drops, skin *****led and goosebumps became a serious feature haha personally, i'm not a Bjork fan, infact i can't stand her 'noise' but they really worked wonders with that song.

Cgi was ok, but could have been more polished, or maybe it was just my eyes lol

The other thing that got me was the repeat close up facial shots of Browning, absolute genius, the emotion captured in her facial expressions and eyes is astounding

Overall 8/10, sorry for any spoilers people :p

when that finished and left me buzzing instead of sleepy, I moved onto Sin city

Favourite line from the film is: (after Marv is dragged outside from Kadies by the hitman, he shoots in him the groin and says ' You keep holding out on me like this, and I'm going to have to get really nasty. ' that just gets me in absolute stitches haha 10/10 :p

Just finished watching Harry Potter 7.2 ahead of going to the Warner Bros Tour tomorrow

Pretty good way to end the franchise, the 19 years later bit at the end was pretty cringey though

7/10

Apocalypse now redux on blu ray, great film. But the french plantation part is a joke, such a needless addition to the film. No sense whatsoever. But, the village attack scene in hd was amazing, wagner in 5.1 surround sound with m60's going off, genius.

Edward Scissorhands 7/10

A classic film, really well done, but a few things bothered me.

1. He's wearing some kind of BDSM/S&M outfit throughout the whole thing (just creepy)
2. Why doesn't Winona Ryder move into the Castle with him?
3. Why did he reject the hands that his creator gave him for a present?

Like I said, overall a great film about a misunderstood character and Depp plays the character perfectly

Battleship - 7/10 - Felt like Independence Day on the Sea, and was rather cheesy and american gung-ho style. But was a decent enough mindless sit and watch the cgi/explosions type of film.

Next to watch is Cabin in the Woods on wednesday.
