Whoops!!! Epic parking mishap.

Hurfdurf - Please zip it. If you would care to discuss sexual equality and diversity then feel free to start a thread on the subject in either GD or Speakers Corner.

This is a thread about an idiot who tried to drive their car into a pedestrian exit from a subway and I'm fairly certain the driver wasn't Germaine Greer.

I've actually been a passenger in a car that ended up like that. The driver, who passed his test that very day, thought it was a good idea to throw his lit cigarette out of his closed window. He then took both hands off the steering wheel and started rummaging around for it, a split second later we ended up half way down the stone stairs, sandwiched between two stone walls.

It was his father's car too - a Vauxhall Chevette - and when his dad turned up he walked straight up to his son and punched him square in the face, right in front of the attending police.

Darlington, High Row, if anyone knows it.

Oh for gods sake, don't get him started - He'll be whining about bad parenting and assaulting minors next. :p

To let things slide for the sake of peace and friendship when a person has clearly gone wrong, and refrain from principled argument because he is an old acquaintance, a fellow townsman, a schoolmate, a close friend, a loved one, an old colleague or old subordinate. Or to touch on the matter lightly instead of going into it thoroughly, so as to keep on good terms. The result is that both the organization and the individual are harmed. This is one type of liberalism.

You must be a really fun guy to go and have a pint with  Could you take your unwanted ideals and shove them in another thread please, preferably amongst the rest of the dross in GD.

"Waaaaahhhh, this dude is putting a damper on my flagrent homophobia/racism/sexism*, he is boring!"

Jesus someones on there period.

Congratulations, you've just proved hurfdurf's point in one easy sentance. As for the various: "It's just a joke" comments, that's been the excuse of the bully for centuries. When did misogyny become a source of amusement?

And for the record, pretty much every person I've ever seen driving like a **** has been a male. But I don't leverage that to "all men are bad drivers". I just assume that some poeple are idiots.

That's funny because women used to get much cheaper car insurance than men based on stats and evidence before equality measures bumped us all to the same rate.

Men cover more miles that women ( No I don't have statistical data but it's pretty obvious ). Therefore more likely to be in an accident.

Some weird people in here having quite the period drama. It's only an internet forum, don't get worked over absolutely nothing.

I'm going to be all unpopular and side with hurfdurf on this one. Some of the attitudes displayed in Motors and GD make for somewhat uncomfortable reading. Especially the off-hand dismissal of any complaint that something might be *-ist in any way.
