Nexon make bid to buy EA

Why would a company making F2P games, probably raking in tons of profit in micro-transactions, want to bother with acquiring EA?

I'd be staggered if they could even afford EA. I mean, Nexon publish Maple Story, but I hadn't heard of any of their other games. And EA publish so many AAA titles that I can't see being real at all.

I would rather have Nexeon's money than EA's.

You wont have heard of most of their games because they are only released in Asia.

Nexon are worth around 2 billion more than EA.

Bloomberg estimate that the enterprise value of Nexon is 552 billion Yen, and EA's is just under 4 billion dollars. That works out at £4.2Bn and £2.4Bn respectively. I'm not an economist, but it sounds to me like it's not that unrealistic.

The Asian game market is MASSIVE beyond belief. They pioneered and mastered F2P games and micro transactions back in the days when we were on dial up.

It is the western games market which has been held back by the likes of E.A

This, so very much this, those asian guys and gals are making the future. And if i dont say myself, keeping pc gaming no.1 in asia.

"Nexon reportedly contacted Electronic Arts (EA) about making an offer"

Making an offer for what exactly? That sentence is too vague and suggestive, it could be anything. I think it's pretty obvious it isn't a bid for the company, considering EA is around 3 times bigger than Nexon.
