How silent is your 680, for reals.

So my 680 is pretty quiet, but it's not silent over my chassis fans which, are.

Trying to evaluate if mine is faulty/noisier than it should be. So, in all honesty, with no headphones or ambient noise etc how audible is your 680 at between 30 and 50% fan speed?

I honestly can't hear mine over my case/CPU fans. It could be noisier but I just don't hear it. Maybe I am so wrapped up in the game this could be why.

I will pay close attention tonight when I have a game of BF3

I can hear mine at 50% over my fans very, very slightly if I'm listening for it. Over 60% and it's definitely noticeable.

I have a Coolermaster HAF X so my case isn't exactly the quietest but I'm not overly fussed about noise.

Coolermaster 922 case with a Gelid tranquillo CPU cooler. Case fans are 200mm. A gentle hum tbh.

If I put the fan on 85% then lol, I can deffo hear it but I don't even bother with precision X when gaming as the frames are plentiful.

From what I can see the 680 makes about the same noise as a 8800 Ultra. Which is no bad thing. Just a reassuring whoosh from time to time.

Yeah it's not abrasive, hoover or hair dryer like but it is noticeable.

I can hear it over my system fans at 30%/idle - shame it will not spin down below 30% for when there is literally 0% load.

At 40% I can't hear the fan. At 50% I can hear it, a little noisy but fine, At 60% I can hear it, quite noisy and would be a little annoying after a spell.

I'll do a vid, let you guys hear how loud mine is lol. In a tight space this thing is quiet noisy imho...
