Little ATTO shot for anyone interested, connected to the intel SATA 3 ports.

Brilliant drive, often overlooked. I'm very pleased with mine, raid performance looks brutal and the background garbage collection will keep performance near to new unlike most other ssds.

i was looking at getting a couple of ssd for raid 0 and i was recommended these drives from the corsair rep because the marvel controller they use is better for raid 0 use. Great results, super fast speeds.

It uses the same controller as the M4 but with toggle nand and different firmware, here's my single drive, 78% full.

I didn't think it was recommended to run SSDs as RAID or have we moved on from that?

The corsair performance pro has background garbage collection. It runs from the drive itself so is perfect for raid or operating systems like xp that dont support trim.

drives that are capable of restoring their parameters without TRIM are great for those applications where TRIM simply doesn’t work at all. Namely, they are strongly recommended for RAID arrays or operating systems that don’t support TRIM command, such as Windows XP, FreeBSD with ZFS or Mac OS X

Look at the 30mins idle bar here, shows the effect of the background garbage collection compared to a post trim drive. The other drives suffer badly in raid as the drive is filled losing performance rapidly.(the plextor is essentially the same drive as the corsair perf pro but with a different firmware)

Apparently trim should work with raid with an upcoming version of the intel rst, when that is I do not know.
