I've just upgraded my firmware to 000F, and run a couple of benches. For some odd reason, I am still capped at 200MB/s write speeds. The read speeds and IOPs are fine, I believe I may be running the wrong drivers. It's set to AHCI in the bios, and IRST is running (10.6.0.1002).

says iastor. Is that the write AHCI driver? My little head is a bit confused now.

Yeah, but I've seen some running well over 220MB/s. Although my drive is pretty full up. Just wondering if I could improve things. Although like they say, if it's not broken, don't fix it... I don't really want to be messing with drivers.

they are using msahci, which I believe are the default AHCI drivers. hmmm I'll leave it to that. Just found it funny that it absolutely refused to budge over 200MB/s whatever the test.

You have to pay attention to the size of the drive they are using, you won't have seen 128GB drives over 220MB/s, 256GB drives sure, but not 128GB.

THIS.

I use 4 machines with the M4 128gb at work. All getting 199mb write speed. Installed a 256gb for a guy last night, brand new, that got 245mb write out of the box.
