***The Official Samsung Galaxy S III Thread***

Look, we know you’re not a fan of this handset but please, attempting to stop people discussing it in the S3 thread is retarded

You arent discussing it, you are continually extolling its virtues.

Discussion is good of course. Im not a big hater of the handset, I just think it could have been better. I was going to buy this, but for its flaws I wont be sadly.

What?

I've discussed the bummed out points on things I (and others) was expecting but that's that, we can't change that now so why should I and others not put focus on what good things it actually does have?

What point is this thread then if everyone is just moaning about not having high expectations met?

Logical much?

Wolfson DAC.. SOLD!

That has sold it for me too. It's about time Samsung went back to decent DAC's in their flagship phone, it was such a massive disappointment in the S2.

although I may hold out for the Note 2 and see if that has the same specs as the S3.

Thanks, so it increases the bandwidth by combining WiFi connections. Real world application? Better media streaming/sharing at home?

A bunch of real world applications really, chief of which is sending files to and from your phone and PC. I saw it like this:

1: Currently at 65Mbps (the S2) you can transfer files to it at around 3-3.5MB/sec. With bonded channels that's 6-7MB/s so a considerable boost meaning no more need to use a USB cable for a lot of people. Maybe more if you have a 5GHz router (maybe?!).

2: Media streaming wirelessly (shown already yesterday demos :p).

3: Stronger WiFi reception.

Allshare is more of a standard than a Samsung thing. I can connect to my uncle's LG SmartTV, for example using my GS2 as that TV supports the features for media sharing to work.

Interesting. I've not really been aware of Allshare until this week! I've just realised that my Samsung Omnia 7 WP7 work phone should work with Allshare too as there is an app for it. I'll have a play later.

We have been able to wirelessy media stream flawlessly since the GS 2! :p

But point 1 and 3 are true and great features for real world stuff, although I get very good signal strength for wifi with my One S everywhere in my house and this is with a virgin superhub router........

I think they have had it for a long time, even the SGS but as usually they didnt really advertise or show the feature off enough. Unlike apple who advertise the **** out of there stuff, this is 1 thing everyone seems to always fail on.

Buying a bigger microSD card not an option?

That was what i was thinking but then again i remember my phone even tho i have a 32gb microSD in it my phone would still get full because of the eternal memory even though downloading apps to sd they still leave data on the internal phone so i always have the problem of my phone running out of memory with a 32gb storage :/

Maybe things have changed since then i am not sure, just judging by my exp with the desire.
