Girl could easily have said no presumably. Admittedly her inhibitions would have been lowered... But I know it's the OP's niece, but half of the responsibility here at least stays on the kids to try and behave responsibly.... I don't think I'd have ever considered having sex at that age. IF she chose not to use protection, or try and take some form of protection the next day without a bit of a hint, she's either hugely irresponsible, or just plain naive. Somehow I feel if it were the latter then she wouldn't have had sex in the first place....
I'm not saying the parent should have left alcohol in the house with them, because they shouldn't. Although giving it to her son I think is perfectly allowed, just not perhaps the best parenting...
