***The Official Samsung Galaxy S III Thread***

Just had Abbey from CPW on the blower offering the SGS 3 for pre-order at £499.95 SIM Free available to collect from the store on 30/05. Didn't spring for it as yet as I'm looking to see if O2 will do a PayG £399 on launch.... that and I'm looking for info on the Sony Hayabusa. I need MicroSD slot.

Anyone want to form an army to go beat the Samsung design team to death? They have created something that I like at some times and hate at others. How the hell have they achieved that? I look at pictures and in one instance I like the phone and then 1 minute later I start to hate it again. o_O

That implies that we need eyes and hands on a physical S3, other folks images are nothing to judge a product or purchase on, I share your reservations.

We can see it perfectly fine from all the pics and videos online to make a good judgement already :p

Don't know why on earth they went with a blue design. They should have had the same effect/colour/material as the samsung soul mobiles, aluminium gun metal or silver brushed effect, would have been sooooo much better.

I dont think any amount of holding, canoodling or stroking it is going to help matters much:p.

But you do have a point, ill wait to make my final impression when i can actually go into a shop and play around with it.
 
On that note, I imagine CPW etc will get demo units in stores for people to poke and prod? Got one CPW upstairs at work so it's a 30second walk to get a feeler, I will ask them in 30 minutes :D

Most of the hyped up hype came from overly imaginative optimists rather than Samsung, ok they did nothing to stop the hype running wild but why should they.

My initial reactions and texting last night were negative but on reading in depth reports I'm confident Samsung have a market leader for a couple of months at least.

That's pretty damning coming from one of the chief writers of The Verge. :eek:

At best, Samsung matched the HTC One X. At worst, it indulged in a two-month delay of an MWC-worthy device, stoked a frenzy of anticipation that was unjustified by the eventual product, and jeopardized the still fragile growth of its brand reputation among smartphone enthusiasts. I'll leave you to decide which extreme I'm gravitating toward.

That blue colour is absolutely ******* horrible! And white ...

Why can't they just have a black option as well like NORMAL PEOPLE!!

I want to get this phone but no way am I carrying something around in either of those colours!! What a great way to alienate your buying market!!
