Am I the only one who doesn't think it's ugly?

i like it but i dont like the colours :) they make it look cheap.. if it had the same covering htc one series have it would be a lot better.. "hopes for back covers to be out in mate black"

Would they actually look decent with the blue front though? I think it would look a bit strange with a black back and the brushed blue front.

well its blue but because it has silver brushed metal look under the clear coating it seems to have a different color depending on the light?! few pages back it looked purple.. in clear day light it will look dark-ish blue so i would say it will look fine with black back cover :o

I wouldn't say it's ugly, but it's definitely not a design I look at and think "Wow, that's nice!". In all honestly the One X looks nicer. :(

They look near enough identical. Slightly rounded slabs consisting of 90% screen on one side and not a lot going on, on the other. They only lacking part is the rear LED/speaker arrangement on the S3. I much prefer the blended in capacitive buttons on the S3 though.

A subtle piano black finish with the brushed metal effect would have looked a lot better I think.

Identical? Err. :p

Maybe to you, they look very different to me though!

Of course they'll be similar in overall shape, and both have a big old screen slapped on the front, but other than that they're fairly different!

no you arent, but for whatever reason people in this thread are far keener to express their disdain for the GS3 (mixed with self assurance their recently purchased one x / s /other phone is the far better) than the rest of us who are quite happy with how the GS3 has turned out but can't be bothered bleating on about it every 30 minutes.

Yep, I stand by that.

I'm hoping/expecting the 'blue' to look much deeper than the press photos in normal light.

That's interesting. I'm not sure how you've arrived at that conclusion however. You must have a very vague way of comparing them.

I am stuck between the OneX and the S3. Cant for the life of me decide what to change my Desire from.... I quite like the sense interface on the Desire and it is meant to be even better on the X yet no one seems to like TW....

Not sure TBH :(

Edit: I would like to see a side by side comparison of the screen TBH

Back a bit I posted a side by side vid and just above us I posted an 8+min vid in 720.

Just me, having largely spent the day doing research on the S3, seeing a few comparisons and owning a Note so having experience of a screen lesser than the S3 but still thinking it's good I'd get the S3 if the current price difference isn't that important to you.

Indeed. Its kind of like the old iPhone argument - if money isn't too much of a concern get the S3, else the one x seemingly offers similar but not quite as much for less £'s.

So it's that simple, preference over design/screen type etc doesn't come into it? You should just get the S3 no matter what? Interesting point of view.

As for prices, they seem pretty close to be honest. I doubt £2-5 per month will sway it either way.

I don't think you can go far wrong with either, depending on personal requirements of course.

Guys can anyone here tell me if your an iphone lover making the switch? Im thinking about it, iphone 5 too god dam long

Try one and see what you think to it. You'll probably be glad of the change I imagine...

What's the stock expected to be like? Those on upgrades waiting to upgrade to this, will they mostly be getting their phones on release day or waiting weeks, if not months for it to arrive?

I think stock should be quite fine, they've had plenty of time to prepare it.

In a lot of pictures and some videos I find myself sort of liking the pebble blue model, it looks quite nice. However I then see another picture and think the opposite. :(

If the screen seems comparable to the One X and the design looks as good as I think it might in the flesh, then I may well be tempted (as per usual :p). Having the One X and Nexus both here I'd say the One X screen is better by a considerable margin, the black levels are deep but not perfect and everything else is just... better, sharper and more accurate.

This is assuming the battery life and camera are both better, that is. I'm totally sold on the internals and DAC being the best around. The phone does look very rapid in operation as mentioned earlier, but then so do they all.

I definitely wouldn't get white though.

Only because of release schedules and special offers on the one X, no doubt with the S3 release in the minds of vendors, in 6/9 months you'll be able to get an S3 for £400 or £25 a month, I might consider selling my Note and getting one then if it hasn't been superseded by subsequent releases.

Awesome. I think i'm set on getting the S3 now more reviews have come out, heh.

Will see if i can haggle a bit when mobiles.co.uk ring me up.

Also, i actually quite like the white compared to the blue, each to their own though. :)
