***The Official Samsung Galaxy S III Thread***

Hm, maybe the upgrade/loyalty path with orange might be the best then. I might see if they will let me have the S3 on my current plan for free (Panther something with unlimited texts, few hundred minutes and unlimited internet) which is £24 a month.

My only reservation is that Orange always pack their phones with rubbish :(

If you can get it for that then i wouldn't worry about the rubbish comes with. I ordered my Orange phone with mobiles.co.uk and all them are unlocked with no kind of branding.

Thing is, my contracts been weird. I'm sure it was like £25/month when i first got it, then it worked itself up to £27, then £30 with the VAT going up and all, now i seem to be paying £60 every month with them saying it's just rolling over from the month i didn't pay for before, which i did. They say they got no history of charging me twice all these times and i can't find all my bank statements to prove it - even though i know i'm right. I just can't be bothered with the fuss. :(

You lot can all argue about a few pounds here or there on good deals for this new phone! Just consider yourself lucky, it is so much cheaper in the UK!!
States, this phone (a long with all new phones) will be $70 p/m AND $199 (maybe $299). Granted you get unlimited everything, but still! Oh and a 2-yr contract :(

Not sure of the exact exchange rate at the moment but...

~£38/month and £120 for unlimited everything isn't too terrible for someone who's going to take advantage of that unlimited stuff.

You have cheap fuel/video cameras/DSLRs etc :p

Your bank possibly has an ATM type machine inside that you put your card in and it prints out full statements standard headed A4 as easy as getting cash or bankstaff will print you one off upon being asked, I've done both a number of times for similar reasons to you. I bank with Barclays.

Really? How far back do they go?

Also, how would i go about proving it to Orange? Not by sending them an array of bank statements surely?

Not sure how far back you can go on the machine but I'm sure that once I got a years worth off a staff member using their pc, can't be sure though.

you can redact all the non necessary information as long as what you send the company retains the proofs they require ie identity, account numbers and dates. You can ring orange to confirm what they need and whether photocopies will do or whether they want originals with black marker over your other incomes and outgoings.

They have a few, yes. Not many though and you might not live near one.

They're selling the S3 in those pop up booths they showed at the press conference but I imagine they won't appear until the 30th at the earliest.

Out of subject but Robbo thought you might like to know got the new replacment One x and the screen has an orange discolouration at bottom right so thats it for me its going back and i am demanding a s3

Um, the S3 has hdmi out right?

So could i technically output sky sports on orange swappables to a TV with it?

Wish they had just done a black version of this. Really the only thing holding me back is that it looks beyond awful in white or blue.

Any chance of a note 2 coming later in the year that might have amoled+ and not look like a kids toy?

Based on this thread, and the live release, I've plumbed for a One X :D

I want to upgrade, but I just won't every use all / any of the features on the S3, I'll be lucky to use any of the ones on the One X. The design of the One X has swung it for me

Mobiles.co.uk doing it free on £51/month on voda for 12 months + cashback = under £600 all in. £582 to be exact

Voda's 12 month contracts offer excellent overall value for someone wanting to keep up with the latest phones.

If you look at it outright, £500 sim free, you're paying £82 for 12 months service, which has 1200mins, unlim text, 750meg internet. That's how I justify my BB9900 12 month contract :D
