***The Official Samsung Galaxy S III Thread***

The free Tab giveaway thing, I have been told that 600 CPW employees bought into that deal and got their tabs so the remaining 400 members of the public were indeed rather lucky!

They probably got staff discounts on top. Terrible for reputation if true.

Probably is, I was told this via a CPW rep!

The same thing happened when the fire sale was going on with the HP Touchpad. The staff discount is 30% as well!

That's not smart of them really. I don't think the CPW head office would want that, the purpose of the deal is to tie the public into expensive contracts!

What is the rest of the deal... you can't just say that. :p

Especially when SD cards are dirt cheap are they not?

Alright lazy chops :p. £31pm for 500 mins, unlimited texts, 500mb data on Vodafone. And yeah they're dead cheap, but still £15 is a nice extra!

Just surprised it's so cheap for a new phone.

That's not too bad, a bit high on the minutes and a bit low on the data I feel though (for people on here).

Generally most new phones cost that, or even less. There's nothing really special about any of these deals!

A guy on another forum has managed to order the S3 with 1000 minutes, unlimited texts and 500mb internet usage for £22 on a vodafone upgrade. Eugh.

I really hate that one minute i think i know what phone i'm getting and then the next i don't. I think it all factors on price for me. If they were both the same price i'd go S3 but i can't justify paying that much more for it if the One X is so much cheaper.

Hm, maybe the upgrade/loyalty path with orange might be the best then. I might see if they will let me have the S3 on my current plan for free (Panther something with unlimited texts, few hundred minutes and unlimited internet) which is £24 a month.

My only reservation is that Orange always pack their phones with rubbish :(

True. I'm on £31 for my Desire HD which I bought when it came out, although I'll land up paying £25 average because I had a couple of minor problems and thanks to my awesome complaining skills I paid nothing for two months.

Think I'm going to wait until it's out and see how it and the Note feel and then buy one or the other.

Actually, we don't get 30% on tablets. I had to pay the full £115 odd for my 32GB HP Touchpad. The discount is only on SIM-free or PAYG mobiles.

Gonna pick up one for £350 for my brother, and when he trades his BB 9900 in for £175, you can work out the rest. Use his Vodafone contract SIM until it's up in July and then move over to a Vodafone SIM-only plan.

Never going on contract again!

You lot can all argue about a few pounds here or there on good deals for this new phone! Just consider yourself lucky, it is so much cheaper in the UK!!
States, this phone (a long with all new phones) will be $70 p/m AND $199 (maybe $299). Granted you get unlimited everything, but still! Oh and a 2-yr contract :(

contract length is as important as allowance - do you know nothing? :p

I'm guessing its 24 months.
