But you go to pages with a bit more substance to them, flash or java. I feel the way internet explorer handles the experience to be much better.

Why is it better?

No browser should ever execute Java without requesting permission from the user. This is why I love Chrome.

In Chrome, Spanner > Settings > Under the Bonnet > Content Settings > Plug-ins > Click to play

No need for flashblock and it's far more secure than giving free rein to all plug-ins.

FireFox with the following plug-in's:

AdBlockPlus
English Dictionary (spell checker basically)
DownThemAll!

Cannae go wrong.

Chrome at home and at work, love having my bookmarks move to different sites including my phone.

At work I also have to use IE8 and IE6, IE8 is not the most fun to use, a lot of sites won't work, talktalks mail problems for instance, right hassle.

Firefox on windows/linux, chrome on mac, 'browser' on android and my own custom browser on windows phone which uses internet explorer's rendering engine.

Trouble I have with chrome is that it's instant to start up (as is everything on my ssd), but hangs for a few seconds when loading the home page for the first time, whereas firefox loads it straight away.

Firefox for me. I have set it up how I like and I'm used to it, so I don't see any need to change.

Have to use IE at work and I just think it seems slow for some reason and looks dated.

IEs javascript engine is slower than a cancerous old dog. Plus it's still not even close to being standards compliant, so for that reason alone I hate it.

I use Chrome when browsing generally, and FF when building a site as it has better extensions to help.
