The flip cases look better than flip cases on a lot of other phones that's for sure. Then again not many other phones are this slim at this size...

I'm gonna stick to a pouch, a Mofi pouch.

Actually I might just buy a HTC One X pouch for LULS. I have a Nikon strap on my Canon camera so it would be a fitting contrast :p
 
I'd stick with a pouch too, I fear the flip cases could be a bit fiddly.

Having said that I'm not actually using one at all at the moment!
 
The design of this phone is actually growing on me. Every time I see a picture (of the blue one) I actually think - "Hm, not bad."

Annoying really. :(

What about it? No official reviews have been posted from a retail sample yet so there's no confirmation, only samples someone has taken using unconfirmed settings. Like I said above, I've seen really poor quality SGS2 photo samples posted on forums even though the SGS2 camera is nowhere near poor.

same, especially on the 3 home page, i still would prefer black and the back only has a few nice shots, but tbh i usually have mine in a case covering the back

true, even if it isnt the best, its not a deal breaker for me [unlike RGB LED :p ]

I had a similar pouch for my Touchpad and was pleased with the quality, it felt more like satin on the inside and outside and while not padded , did offer protection from scrapes and scuffs.

The pocket may come in handy for storing the MHL cable too or a spare battery/NFC sticker tags.

Well why not! It's only £3 on a £500 phone :p

Will Senna/Fitbag not leave the height of the S3 exposed though hmm.

Hmm. The GN cases may be a bit tight width wise and HOX ones leave the top exposed. What other phones match the S3 closely?

As I said earlier the newer one probably just accommodates higher bandwidth/fps or something similar, maybe 24fps at full res over the old 15fps? The HOX could certainly end up with S5C73M3 in future batches, they would've made a song and dance at the keynote (literally) if it was a significant design update.

(this is all speculation, I don't mind eating humble pie on this :p)
 
15fps? the S2 you mean? They all do 24fps or above. The bandwidth increase won't be from the sensor though, you can increase the bandwidth via software as it's just a software setting as has been shown on the HTC Sensation, HTC Desire and SGSII where ROM devs have played with the media profile config files. S3 sensor is also backlit so low light photos should technically show less image noise than the S2 and the S2 isn't bad at all in low light for noise.

It still looks as ugly as anything :p

Would have been better if it was just black instead of sky blue.
 
Maybe can be changed like lockscreen wallpaper? Who knows :p

Still doesn't excuse the Gingerbread top icons though. This thing will get rooted and themed faster than falling down the stairs.
