Sky Adsl2+ Line Stats help ?

Hi Guys,

Just switched over from Bethere to sky. Due to have my cabinet enabled for fiber in June fingers crossed. For the time being I am on unlimited package.
My line is going through its 10 day training period.
I was hoping someone can help me translate my stats. I was told they will try to get the maximum speed by increasing the syn in increments . What error should i be looking for and also once the 10day training period is over will i be able to use the dmt tool to increase the snr value.

Your syncing at the highest rate looks like to me.

SNR (dB): 3.3 7.9
Attn(dB): 14.0 7.7
Pwr(dBm): 18.6 12.3
Max(Kbps): 22624 1172
Rate (Kbps): 19287 1142
 
Yeah your SNR is good I would not be upset with that. I found my line started on a SNR of about 6 then dropped to around 3 about 6 days into training. You could still tweak it further I got my SNR down to 1.5 and has been running solid for nearly 9 days now. Though really most would argue to leave it as is.
 
You have pretty good figures, so I would leave well alone.
It will settle down over the 10 days, so it might still sync a little faster.

22M no need to tweak it anymore, rarely will you see a connection get 24M, sometimes dont even get that on the equipment XD

Incorrect. DLM has been changed recently because some users (check the SkyUser forum) have been able to get over 20Mb because their SNRM margins have gone below 7dB.

Putty is just a telnet client, so any program (such as the command) prompt can telnet in and change the SNRM.

Whats wrong about it ?
If dlm sets the snr lower than 7dB and some one changes the profile in lama back to a higher snr the only way to get it lower than 7 is with putty or let dlm run on the line again.

I did not say that dlm would not put the snr lower than 7 i said we "Agents" cant do it via lama.

Is that the standard Sky router config page? If it isn't I didn't know you could use your own personal router.

Or it could be that my Sky router is quite old :)

You can use your own router if you are connecting by PPPoA and extract the username and password, or generate one based on the MAC of your own router. It's against Sky T&Cs though. I flashed my DG834GT with DGTeam firmware to unlock the potential of it so technically I'm breaking T&Cs too.

Not sure if it's yet possible to connect if the connection protocol is MER.
