Hold your horses..

From the article:
We are already impatient for the eventual global availability in July

could have course be speculation, but possibly not..

*Cancels S3 plans*

:p

Is this even as good as the s3 hardware wise? I thought the mint was the one that was gonna be good?

Am looking at these myself now potentially, as the s3 is so butt ugly lol.

Whats the build quality like on sony's latest phones?

Well it'd probably perform about the same in every day usage, it depends I guess on what you want to use the phone for. This phone seems to have an excellent camera with good picture and video quality, with what looks like a dedicated camera button too for those quick snaps. The memory is a bit low, 16Gb only opposed to the variations of 16, 32 and 64Gb Samsung have stated, along with their Micro SD slot. The S3 also has the bigger battery (2,100mAh opposed to 1,700mAh in the Hayabusa), but the actual difference in the life of the battery is yet to be seen.

I much prefer the looks of this, looks more standard, but I won't know for sure until I get them both in my hand to try.

Well i cldnt care less about camera i never use it in my phones, i want a snappy phone that is capable of running games and has a nice screen as majority of my use is browsing/streaming

The SGS3 and Hayabusa have the same SoC, memory and great 720p screens (no need for another pointless AMOLED vs LCD thread again) It'll come down to which one you prefer in the hand.

The only thing we haven't seen yet is the new 13MP stacked/RGBW sensor, that could be a worthwhile update over existing BSI modules. A lack of SD card slot will be a real turn off though.

With Sony pushing the 'iconic' design in Europe and the current S4 shortfall they might not release it outside LTE markets.

Sounds like the S3 ticks all those boxes and then some^^?

Aye, only issue for me is that it looks beyond awful mate and i would rather have a better looking gadget lol. Had it come in same design as the sgs2 i woulda been all over it. But i just cant get over their colour choices and design.

In that case, what about the HTC One X?

Yeah i quite like the look of that so its currently a front runner, but if a more powerful phone is coming out in a couple months time i can wait. Heard that the gpu on the new sony phones was some massively powerful one?

I doubt there will be anything massively more powerful this year to be honest.

The next big phone launch will be the next iPhone.

I think you should only decide once you've seen it in person. Pictures online can be deceiving :p

Tempted to get this over the SGS3, as it looks like an actual phone, not a pebble. But I can't bare to keep my current phone till July. Urgh.

I've got my Xperia Arc (not S) untill July Next Year!!.. :(

Can't afford to buy a SIM free handset even if I sell the Arc!..

Hopefully Sony will have summut Stonking out next year!! :)
