Poor old dear, wonder if she remembers sinking the Belgrano.
There's no value gained from subsidizing unprofitable businesses.
Yea and 40 years later the workers still struggle to make ends meet while the rich still get richer
Why do you struggle so much with writing?hurrah,Dam was hoping to crack open a bottle then,no cry's for that woman..
I take it when Thatcher dies the Argies will be the first to celebrate given current tensions?
What a vulgar website. Disgusting.......
Yeah, gotta say I was pretty appalled myself. But it was the top Google result for "Margaret Thatcher Dead",
She was, in my opinion, one of our greatest PM's. I can see why some people dislike her but regardless of whether you agreed with her policies and actions she was at least a strong leader and took the country in a direction in line with her policies. Compared to the weak PM's we've had recently it is like night and day. In many cases it does seem that people dislike her because it's the expected thing.
Personally I will find it a sad day when she passes. I think the boom times of the 90's were because she managed to release the damaging grip of the unions. While we are indeed in a global recession now I feel we would be in a much worse place economically had she not been PM.
If anything, the global recession we're going through at the moment is in part due to the policies of Thatcher and Reagan.
That's not to say that subsequent governments didn't exacerbate the problem, but to claim that we'd be worse-off now if it wasn't for her is complete conjecture.
I for one will be going to her funeral when that sad day comes. One of Britain's greatest leaders yet. More like her please.
