***The Official Samsung Galaxy S III Thread***

S2 has 2GB of space for app data.

Awesome! I was considering just getting the 16GB version, because app data would likely run out before the storage itself, but this confirms I'll get the 32GB version :p

Not really a problem, the 64GB sdxc cards are a tiny £45 ffs! :p

"3" seem to be offering a good deal @ £34 per month/free phone:
all you can eat data, loads of calls & txts.

I'm on 02, currently paying £35 for a simmilar package - I managed to actually get through to them and they were about to price match, and I got cut off - the upgrade/retentions dept's seem a little busy ATM, so I'll call back in a few days when the panic dies down a bit, I'm not queing for 30 mins again! lol!

Seems to be a popular handset!

Really in 2 minds about this, my contract doesn't expire until june 2013. I already have a S2 and very happy with it. I only wish the screen was higher res as i surf the net a lot on it. Get the s3 now or wait until the s4 which may have a better design?

I wouldn't bother mate - only reason I'm upgrading is because my MK1 desire is 24 months in and I'm due an upgrade, in all honesty, if the S3 hadn't come out, I would have kept my desire until something worth upgrading to was released.

Something 'a little bit better' will always come out every 3-6 months.

I've ordered mine at £26 for 24 months with £30 back from quidco.. £1 more than I'm paying for my GS2 with the same minutes/data :)

I bought a 32GB card for the S3 because I barely use the 32GB I have available on my S2.

Why do people need a SIM card cutter? Can't you just pop into the shop and get your SIM changed on the spot?

Some people choose the sim free option when purchasing this phone. Its handy having one anyway instead of cutting it with scissors with a template which is a bit tedious. Anyway its dead cheap on play.com.

So... I'm buying a SIM free phone, but that doesn't mean I can't pop into the O2 shop and get the normal SIM I use in my S2 replaced with a micro SIM.

Remember that you get another £110 back on one plan contracts.

So even if o2 price match, you will be £110 worse off.

I wish orange would officially announce the S3/pricing and pre-orders so i can phone retentions up and try and haggle a deal. Contract ends on the 25th of June so its bye bye time if i cant get a good deal.

still a few apps that don't work on sd and not to mention most apps still leave data on the phone even when you transfer to sd if i am not mistaken? :(

Edit: and i am guessing the phones memory would be faster then an sd too?

Interesting, do you have to jump through £110 worth of hoops to get the cash?

Nope. All you have to do is make an account on their website. Log in, and use their link to visit the three.co.uk website, and then make a purchase.

In time they will be paid £110 for referring you to the site, and they then give that money to you.

It's a good idea to make sure that cookies are cleared before you log into topcashback and make the purchase so that no one else accidentally gets the credit for referring you.

Apart from using their link in the first place, there is nothing else you need to do.

I think Three are ahead of the game here. I don't think you can order the phone online until 30th May by which time the tariff will have increased.

My dad is getting the white one to I've learned today so I'll be able to compare them both and see which colour looks the best months down the line at least!

Maybe but with these UHS SDXC cards...!

Could be right, but I'd be surprised if they increase it.

However, new user who makes that first comment? Might you have a conflict of interest? :p

I'm sure you can appreciate that it might look like you are an employee of another network who wants people to lock in to upgrades before May 30th?
