The effects of personal debt

Has anyone made an infographic on infographics yet?
E.G what percentage of them have dodgy stats, how many are oversized to the point where the very idea of them are lost and the viewer cannot compare stats without unnecessary scrolling, how many are simply the result of someones college/uni work or CV, things like that.

Sadly this is not troll but just a plain imbecile, arknor that is.

People such as that really frustrate me, Obviously complete idiots who have lived in a bubble for there entire lives OR simply do not give a **** about anyone but themselves.

When I was about 3 both parents had a job and a mortgage, they had a speed boat, 2 cars etc and things were on the up and up, They had just paid for fees on another house to be inspected and put an offer in, things were good then Mum fell ill.... within 24 hours she was in hospital in a critical condition a further 12 hours later she was in a coma, she didn't wake for a further 4 months, by which time they had lost the other house and all the fees applicable when moving, Mum lost her job as she clearly was never going to go back to that job (yes she got a pay out but it was only small, She was a trainee accountant and only 24 so hadn't been working for long enough to have warranted a large pay out) but worst of all, she lost every finger on both of her hands meaning there was very little she could do in terms of work, and So became the struggle of living on 1 income with a 3 yr old and a mortgage. Obviously the speed boat went and we moved to a small house as soon as was possible and things started to look up. Dad started a business with his family which again was doing well (Carpet cleaning company) until someone stole the van and stripped it of the equipment essentially shutting the company down for well over a month while insurance claims went through etc etc etc....

Please, explain to me how any of this was THERE fault? How was my mum falling ill and losing all of her fingers and the ability to work HER fault.

You are new round here. Welcome to GD.

Every time I see Arknor post I'm ashamed of his location.

I am relieved to find out he's just living in Newcastle but he's actually from Nottingham.

SEND HIM BACK.

And I concur with the sensible people, what a ridiculous sample for those statistics.

I have a lot of debt (£40k excl mortgage) but none of those issues affect me.

Debt itself, if properly managed and at an appropriate % of disposable income, is fine.

I love finding a thread that has an Arknor reply, it compels me to read on through the rest of the thread just for the sheer lols.

As soon as I saw the OP the same thought came to my mind as summed up in Fox's 1st post. Dubious stats gathered from a selected demographic, i.e. useless.

I want Arknor to reply to this, I await with such anticipation.

sorry to say most of his replies lead me to think he has Asperger's

"Asperger syndrome is distinguished by a pattern of symptoms rather than a single symptom. It is characterized by qualitative impairment in social interaction, by stereotyped and restricted patterns of behavior, activities and interests, and by no clinically significant delay in cognitive development or general delay in language. Intense preoccupation with a narrow subject, one-sided verbosity, restricted prosody, and physical clumsiness are typical of the condition, but are not required for diagnosis"

I don't think its our place to judge peoples mental health however irritating we may find posts.

possibly not, but in reality im defending him... what other excuse can someone have for a complete one-sided view on life and zero empathy

my job doesnt cover the bills for my rent, so i live in debt. so what is your answer to this?!? there arent better paid jobs around here, and there arent cheaper places to rent. electric/gas, council tax, water etc are not optional, so do i just say i cant afford them so im not paying?
seriously, what world do you live in?!?

Get a lodger or move into shared accomodation. If your pay does not even cover your rent your heading for a major bust. You may as well try and manage it.

i have 2 kids that live with me half the week, no way am i living with a stranger.
unfortunatly, the government does not see the fact that because i have them half the week im entitled to some money. so my lovelly ex wife gets a lot of benefits for having them the same amount of time as me, and i get nothing. gotta love it.

is that not something you can sort out between yourselves, surely she should help with that.

whilst together financially everything was good. but due to circumstances out of my control, things changed and now its a mess. but obvs according to arknor its all my fault for not being able to see into the future.

How can you guarantee you will never be in debt?

I have no urge to buy things I can't afford, I have no reason to get sued nor will I. As people have stated if I don't have the cash for something I will not buy it. Never had a Credit Card, never will same with loans etc.

It is known and I have always been open with the forum that I am autistic, I'm sure most of the regular posters are fully aware.

I am blunt , one sided and lack all empathy. In person I hide it very well and you wouldn't likely catch on
