Has anyone who has received their copies already got a guest pass they wouldn't mind offering up to a eager adventurer?

It's looking like my copy isn't going to get delivered by Amazon until sometime on Tuesday and I was hoping for some Monday night action after a day of exams.

I'll happily send a code back in return when I receive my copy the next day.

Email in trust if so! (and thanks)

Would also like a guest code if someone has one spare to trust me. My Amazon order is likely to never arrive. Can return the code once/if it arrives...

Thanks.

No probs, sent you one too Moogleys :)

Thank you very much...

I have activated a starter edition of the game on Battle.net So will be able to play on Monday night and upgrade when my copy arrives....

Superb...

From the Battle.net site about starter editions....

Diablo III Starter Edition & Guest Pass
Diablo III Starter Edition provides players the ability to try out a limited version of Diablo III. Guest Pass keys allow a player to give friends the opportunity to play the Starter Edition of Diablo III. Guest Pass keys are included in all box copies of Diablo III.

Players on Starter Edition game licenses have the following restrictions:

Act I up to the Skeleton King is available
Level 13 cap
Matchmaking available only with other Starter Edition players
No Real Money Auction House access

How do I get the Diablo III Starter Edition?
Log into your Battle.net Account Management page and navigate to the Download Game Clients section. The Diablo III Starter Edition will be available for download there.

Players without a Battle.net account can create one, and then download the Starter Edition.

Note: The Diablo III Starter Edition will not be available without a Guest Pass until 30 days after the game launches.

How do I download the Diablo III Starter Edition?
Navigate to the Download Game Clients section of your Battle.net Account Management page and click the icon for your operating system under the Diablo III heading.

How do I upgrade from Starter Edition to the full version of Diablo III?
Log into Battle.net Account Management and select your copy of Diablo III Starter Edition on the Game Account list. On your Diablo III Starter Edition Game Management page, you will see your upgrade options on the right-hand side.

I'm curious about this. It says they won't be available for a month following the release...and yet there it sits in my account without me entering any codes. Does everyone have it listed on their account page, or is it just those that participated in beta (open/closed) that got it? Also curious, is how it says it's region locked to Americas. Any ideas?

I'd definitely appreciate a guest pass if there's one available? If my copy arrives on the 15th May then I won't use it and I will let whoever sends me one have it back to use for someone else.

I pre-ordered from Amazon in July 2010 and it is looking unlikely that they'll be shipping copies out for release at all after what people that have contacted them have been saying. There's loads of discussion about this, some are saying they've received Amazon orders, others that Amazon simply can't fulfil demand, regardless I'd have expected those of us that ordered that far back to be guaranteed a copy, but that doesn't seem to be the case. It also seems to be that those of us that pre-ordered early (and got a really cheap deal) are being put to the back of the queue, but this might all just be a consipiracy theory.

I'm gonna be really narked with Amazon if they don't get the game to be for Tuesday, not because I'm dying to play it (I am a bit, but that's not the point) but because I pre-ordered years ago knowing it would be out and you'd expect to receive a game on release day with a pre-order that's so old. Hell, I'd expect to receive a copy regardless of whether I pre-ordered a year ago, or a month ago. There's no excuse for either Blizzard or Amazon running out of copies when they know what pre-orders they have. The pessimist in me thinks that Blizzard are just trying force more digital downloads at £45 a pop, which is an utter rip-off for a PC game, even if it is on such an epic scale as Diablo.

Quick question for you please...

Blizzard say you will have to repeat certain acts to get gear that is good enough so you can progress through the story.

So how do you repeat acts? Do you have to start a new game once you have completes an act so the levels repopulate with bosses etc?

Sorry if this is a dumb question..

Yes thats correct, boss runs are common to xp, level and hope to drop some better items.

When you choose what character you wish to play it'll show you a list of your story progress kind of like in a chapters and paragraph style maybe of a book.
It is there you can go back to any point and choose whether you'd like to go to that point solo(private or public) or look for a group in matchmaking.
