the amazon thing is more to do with having enough stock to fulfill the orders full stop, atm they are saying they don't have enough to satisfy the level of pre-orders so there is a chance of it not arriving next week at all let alone for release date. i was just told they will send an update before the 15th.

Hmm tad annoying, i've raised a ticket to Blizzard asking if they can change it to Europe for me.
I wish the CE thing was a bit smoother, I would have been happy to buy it from Blizzard if I could get a refund once my CE arrived, but it doesn't look like that will be reliable and I really don't want to play twice for the game!
To be quite honest I am not happy that I'll be getting mine on the 15th while others already have theirs or have been dispatched.
BUT Amazon have no obligation to get it to you before release date. As long as it's dispatched or delivered on the date of release then they are fulfilling what you asked of them. The fact that other e-tailers are doing things early is just a bonus with them and isn't a poor reflection of Amazon just because you're impatient and want it early.
The release date is the 15th and if you're going to seriously whine and moan because you can't get it before the game is released then you really should re-examine your thought processes.

Anyone else also have a spare guest pass that they wouldn't mind parting with? (Hopefully wont have to use it IF my copy arrives)
Yes, you can upgrade to a full account and carry on. The guest pass allows you to play the full first chapter of the game from what I have read.
On the card it says up to the Skeleton King, where the beta got up to, which apparently a third of the way through Act 1.
We will find out how far through Act 1 it is tomorrow though

never been so happy to be a wow player as the annual pass was one of the greatest things blizz ever did.
Chuckin in the free digital copy of diablo3 was a brainstorm, and im wondering how much of the supply problems might have something to do with the huge amount of people who got D3 as part of their annual pass.
(meaning did they expect more digital sales than retail and as such have some suppliers short)

Forgive my ignorance, but if I was to be a mug and cough up the £45 for the digital copy on my battle.net account I could pre load now?
You could always get the digital copy from Blizzard, get a refund for your late game and sell your body for the difference.So if i dont get my game on tuesdayi guess i will need 2 go to game and buy it there...

Yep, your account will activate and you'll be able to install and start playing at 11pm when servers go live.
