except the EX OC which barely matches the EVGA SC short one
As always results vary.
Gibbo's testing was that the 6+8 pin cards were the better clockers.

Unfortunately the Asus is struggling to get beyond 1200MHz from my own testing and other reviews I've seen, which s dissapounting.![]()
except the EX OC which barely matches the EVGA SC short one
I have KFA2 EX OC and mine do 1359 MHz 3dmark 11 stable with score 10390 mate.
Gibbo found the Asus GTX 670 DirectCU2 to not be as good an overclocker as some other cards.
He lost on his 'silicon lottery' when testing the Asus card:
http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Zotac/GeForce_GTX_670_Amp_Edition/31.html
Techpower have had an Asus capable of 1110 Mhz base clock, and 1890 (7560) ram, cherry picked just like the Zotac AMP review sample no doubt.
yes, and the link you posted shows that the asus managed a whole 10mhz more than the reference model WOOHOO, let me rush out and spend the extra 50 quid for 10 mhz
again, the link you've posted shows 82 not 85...
I guess I should make it clear that my interest in a 670 would be for SLI, so even 100mhz OC would be of little interest compared with saving £100 when going SLI and having the advantage of coolers that dump heat outside the case
Dear Sir,
*
If the original parts have been removed and 3rd party ones fitted, this voids the warranty and no RMA service is given.

Gigabyte have replied with this
That rules giga out. May just go for titchy PCB![]()
Thats only if you return the card with 'third party parts' fitted. If you return it with the stock parts fitted, and anything extra attached to it removed, they will still service it.
I have confirmation of this from Gigabytes UK forum.
Dear Sir,
*
Yes it does apply.
*
The main parts have already been removed once. Soon as this happens, warranty is voided even if the main parts are re-assembled. Unfortunately no removal of original parts must be done to avoid the warranty becoming void. All work must be completed by a gigabyte engineer.
