In my opinion the removal of skill trees was a genius move. It is so easy to swap your characters specialism to match the situation.

Currently on my Barb with 1H and Shield:

Cleave + chance for mob to explode on death
AOE Stun that pulls them in just before
AOE Bleed
Earthquake
Demoralising shout that reduces enemy damage.

That combined with items that give life back, and passive skills that improve life regen / armor I am a group killing machine.

Just about to finish act one.

Is it better to (1) invest in your blacksmith early on and break magical items down, or is it better just to (2) sell everything, save up the money and buy good stuff from shops?

^ Lol at the people raging about gaming celebrities and calling them sad for doing nothing except being good at games.

What exactly do other celebrities do? Some are good at sport, some are good at acting, some just look pretty. Athene is pretty damn famous in his own right, and pretty damn good at what he does, and he uses this fame to do a lot of good, like raise money and promote charitable causes.

A hell of a lot more than you keyboard warriors have ever done (looking at you, kamwah)
He comes from a WoW background. I know plenty of his kind, try and be "famous" in the gaming scene and pretend they've done loads when really they've done absolutely nothing except play a game.

Im a wizard at the moment, now, does the weapon damage effect my magical abilities? i know inteligence adds towards abilit damage. but does the physical DPS from a weapon improve that too?

maybe in need to enable advanced tool tips

This is a bit of a stupid question but characters such as the blacksmith are persistant across all difficulties and characters right? I don't want to invest a load of money into it on normal and find I have to start again on nightmare.

I guess money will be a lot easier to come by at the point but every little helps..

Also, what are the penalties for dieing on this game? I played the beta but I never managed to die in it. Do you lose map progress in the current dungeon/item durability loss etc..?

Indeed. Currently at level 7 blacksmith and on act 2 nightmare. Only penalty is durability loss.

Just hold Ctrl down when you hang over the spell/ability and it will tell you how the spell is affected by Weapon damage etc.

Does anyone fine themselves not wanting to party up? I find if you use the public feature most people appear to skip majority of the content / steam ahead. I know everyone plays differently but it's just an observation.

Yeah opened my game last night and tried to play with some people.

They just stormed off and didn't seem interested in exploring at all. Probably done it before though and just there for extra loot.

Playing with my mates at the moment, one of them is a stormer, doesn't explore in the slightest. I am a completionist so it's driving me insane. However, I just go with it, I will go back one day and do normal on my own when I am bored one weekend and listen to the story properly.
