Nope. Tywin knows she's a northern girl, if he knew she was high born as well he'd find out who she was and pack her off to King's Landing as a hostage given that all the North lords are in rebellion. My guess is he suspects but has doubts - he'd look daft in front of his men if he thought a commoner was high born so he's keeping her close and engaging in verbal duels with her. Arya mis-speaking, saying "proper" when she should have said "properly" could well have saved her.

hmm, judging by the fact that he oversee's a bunch of very violent torturing men. If he thought for a second, surely he'd just stick her on a rack?

Just watched the last episode. I was just thinking how much i hate Jamie but 'by gods', Theon.

It doesn't even really matter if it's them or not.

Usually i'll watch the main scenes again but i don't know if i can. Felt my eyes tearing up... i kind of want to know if it happens in the books so i'll know if i have to deal with it again.

Who's Jamie and what's he done? :p

does anyone here think that Bill Nighy wouldve been a better choice for Tywin lannister? i can just see him owning that part tbh ^^ :)

no Charles Dance is amazing, literally glued to my set when he is on. The rest of the show however has been absolutely dire this season - a complete let down from the last...nothing at all seems to be happening and everything seems to be in limbo until someone starts fighting armies.

Nah, pretty sure he knows she's a nobles daughter. In fact I'm certain he does. Think he respects her too much to blow her cover. Obviously he doesn't have a clue she's Ned's girl though!
Theon's not quite giving Joffery a run for his money in the evil stakes. He really doesn't like what he's doing but that's the path he's picked so hes gotta see it through.

Think that's a bit harsh. In fact way too harsh. Last season was as good as it was imo because of the last two episodes and all the pay off we got for the slow buildup. Have a feeling we'll get the same here in the last 2/3 episodes.

One thing that's making it suffer which is out of the makers control is the number of episodes. This season could have done with another 5 tbh so we can spend some proper time with each character and not piecemeal snippets. Major events in the book come and go in the space of a couple minutes which had huge buildup and chapters devoted to them in the book. But that's the nature of a tv adaption I guess.

Still think they're doing a great job.

Not even slightly. Nighy is great but Charles Dance is absolutely perfect as Tywin. How can you improve on perfection?

I'll echo what everyone else has said about Charles Dance, perfectly suited for the role. He's always a compelling actor to watch, regardless of the role he's playing.

Think I have had enough of the series now. I wasn't convinced by the first season and the second has been drudgery stacked on top of the mundane with a sprinkling of boredom chucked in.

Too many inconsistencies with the books, trying to cram too much into too few episodes and just generally meh.

If I hadn't read the books I would love it I imagine (the Missus certainly does) but I just can't get away with it. Will probably purchase on DVD and watch it all at once and see if it's any better that way. Will still look out for a few moments in the books out of interest to see how they have handled the conversion but i think I'm done :(

Shame but I have xfiles complete to watch :D

Felt a bit sorry for Cersei in the scene with Tyrion. Normally see her as a scheming witch :)

Brilliant scene, the look they gave each other at the end of it spoke volumes.. She let her mask slip and he nearly let his compassion show through. they were both there but they stopped them selves before they stepped over the line. Brilliant acting and very deep if you looked...

X-Files is based on leaked FBI case files though so has some realism to it which GoT does lack at times.

Lol@picking x files over GoT

The books are vastly superior to the TV show, perhaps I would have liked it if I hadn't read the books but I just find myself getting irritated by discrepancies and the painfully simple way they put things rather than relying on people to use their brain as the books do (but hey it's tv :p)

It is good, but I don't enjoy it.

Don't be mocking xfiles either vastly superior! :D

Hey, hey, hey The X-Files is the best TV show ever made I'll have you know :p

I agree :p

Seriously though it is a great series.

Almost every time books are ported to film or television they end up being a poorer version.

Every single X Files episode starts with Mulder saying he doesn't believe in aliens and ends with little green men jumping around all over. It was good when I was 8, but then I grew out of it :D

It's akin to WWE.
