I think many people don't realise the prices/rarities and especially as people level up and start crafting more for the level 60 high end gear i think that stuff might go up.

That seems to be the best way unless my maths is horribly wrong.

Most magics sell for 50-150 and yield 1 subtle essence and rarely a fallen tooth, rares are 100-300 and yield 1 of each. To buy an Essence on the AH costs about 15-25 gold each (and you can buy in bulk) and Teeth are maybe 20-35 gold so all you do is lose money by salvaging so I can't understand why they are so cheap.

Gems start dropping in act II and by late act III I'm starting to find regular types (tier 3). Course the problem there is, the highest you can train the jeweler to on normal is Flawless and even Perfect/Radiant seem to be oddly cheap for anything but Ruby. Its not as if you lose anything either since you can just remove the gem once you're done with it and sell it or combine it into a higher tier.

Exactly what I'm using :D

My skillbar is Electrocute - Chain Lightning. Disintegrate - Convergence. Diamond Skin - Prism. Wave of Force - First rune (stuns for 2s). Blizzard (no runes yet). Archon (no runes yet).

Archon is just so powerful. A zero cost wide effect beam that deals 300% weapon damage? 15s +1s per kill duration, I've had it last almost 100 seconds in the right place!

Edit: What do you mean tier gear? Chipped, Flawed, Regular so I just assume its a tier 3 gem.

Ah, thanks for the tip. I've been salvaging all the stuff I got so far since I thought the vendor prices were a bit low. Guess I will vendor them :)

Thats what I thought too but after playing with 2 mates Ive got to say that this game is meant to be played in group. Solo might be bit quicker but Damn.. THE FUN IN 3-4 MAN GRP IS EXTREME. Do not play this solo ! ;)

how do you have both wave of force and blizzard on bar?
 
Anyone else found that their damage went up ridicously towards the end of act III? (especially barbs) Went from around 170 damage before hand to 1000 now with all my buffs and stuff up. Completely changed my barb build now though using the benefits of the passive skill that increases damage when having full fury.
 
Was able to finally get some time on this last night.

And wow it is good, I was playing and before I know it an hour had passed, will most certainly be buying the full version with my birthday pennies!
 
Really enjoying this game now after the slow start...it gets a lot better after you defeat the skeleton king bloke.

My female demon hunter kicks ass!
