What's the deal with all these young people going bald?

Twenty one years old, and balding up nicely here. :(

The reason? You know as much as I do.

EDIT: Actually, that's not true... I know more than you do, just not on this topic.

Gotta blame the relatives. My dads a slap head, one of my Grandads was, one wasnt. On the positive side the Grand folks survived into their 80s so I hope I got those genes too!

Embrace the baldness :D. Enjoy the money that you save on haircuts and the time saved not styling your hair and just pray that you have a head shape which suits it.

I love my baldness.

I'm going bald, but it didn't help that I've pulled it out since I was 14, now I just have it short so I cant pull it any more, although I would love a full head of hair :)

I guess that's one way to distract people from noticing your baldness!

Oh wait. Do you mean pulling your hair out? ;)

I think I have honestly been balding since I was about 13/14, which coincides with my father passing away. Doesn't bother me at all to be honest, if people are going to judge me by the fact I will be bald, then they're not the sort of person I want to know lol.

I will embrace the slap head.

I think I was about 21 when I first noticed my hair was falling out, I was mortified! However, You get used to it and it doesn't bother me at all. Some people actually say i've matured very nicely and it suits me :-)

I was 21 when I started balding, my dad has only started balding and he's 58. Unfortunately it's just genetics, I honestly don't think stress or diet are contributing factors.

Weirdly though, people say you inherit those genes from your mothers father. However my grandad on that side had a full head of hair until the day he died. However, my dad's brother went bald in his early 20's and so have his sons.

Thankfully though I've been complimented by people saying I have the "right shaped" head for the full shaved look :D.

My mum still says my hair is beautiful *sniff*

Actually, so does my hairdresser, who strokes it saying "I loooooove your haaaaair".

:s

It doesn't bother you but you're still claiming it's thin, not just bald... :p

It really doesn't. I hate having long hair. But I'm not actually bald, just very thin on top to the extent that I don't even need to cut it any more. However there is still Some hair there ;)

Your chest will be in a similar condition quite soon too*. :p

*Just a reminder that we haven't forgotten.:D

I know. It's happening. :( early June. :'(

Men who go to hairdressers are pansies. My barber is a retired marine who sprays my head with whisky, snips with pair of rusty blunt scissors and uses a razor carved out of some nazi's collar bone.
