I think crafting would be worth it if they remove the gold fee for making items.

Mats should be all you need. Especially with the random stats, you shouldn't have to pay gold. It's just ridiculous. Some of the material costs are too high too....10 yellow materials and like 20 blues, PLUS 10 pages to make 1 item? On your bike.
 
I am just selling all my magic items for gold and then putting up all my rare on AH and getting some rare item deals on ah. Seems to be working ok for now.

I stopped upgrading my bs.

I also have a full stash, i bought all the 14 slots available for 30k. this way i can store loads of items for AH and other classes.
 
I'm having to go back through nightmare with my Barb. Their is just no way of me killing Diablo with the stats I have currently.

On the plus side, picked up a 1 hand mace that does 78.4 dps.

Getting rid of money would make it ridiculously overpowered. You can by nightmare ingrediants for like 60 gold on the AH!

That's not full :p It's 3 pages. second page is 100k for first slot (then 20k for each slot) third page is 200k for first slot (then 20k for each slot)

I've got the second page just because I have loads of money and felt I should be doing something with it!

Yeah, quite lucky really, seemed to balance quite well but can certainly feel the difference when you try and take on an enemy by yourself with the increased HP they have etc.

Funnily enough I never really managed to make a decent Amazon in D2 so a DH in D3 has not really been at the top of my list to play as, will soon see though.

i never seem to get on with ranged characters all that much. I always try though, as I roll barb/warrior type classes 99% of the time and I feel it will get a bit same-y, although I always end up going back to them and having great fun
 
Anyone else having issues with the AH? Can't seem to be able to sort buyout in ascending order (just lists items with no buyout and stops at page 43), really annoying to have to look through every page for cheap gear.
 
Finally managed to get this for a delightful 99p (yay for saving skyrim and ME3!) so I started a barb as I don't normally play melee champs in anything. Loving it so far, the game looks amazing!

there seems to be a results limit in AH, noticed this the other day trying to scroll the other direction. just put a limit in your price range and sort descending :)

The way i found good items was to select the type of item, select rare filter, then select the attributes i wanted with no figures, example dexterity and vitality, then put in a max buy out, say 3000 or 5000. Then sort by DPS and just look for the lowest buyout ones. Modify the buyout filter lower and lower, until you find the sweet spot. Ideally it should filter it down to a few pages at most.

Not sure your level but my bard last night got a 1h axe that does:

167dps
+38-85 holy dmg
+92 Strength
Each hit adds 103 life
+22 xp per kill
1.2% chance to immobilize

I am on act 3 of nightmare currently so there is better weaps out there.

Oh wow nice! I'm level 38 atm. Currently saving my coin to get something like that from the AH.

I think the axe was a level 46 item. I am 48 now and will probably be 50 by the end of act 3.
 
Have taken the Skeleton King down with a Demon Hunter / Monk / Barbarian on my guest pass... Demon Hunter and Barbarian were both level 9, monk level 8...took about 2 minutes with demon hunter, the other 2 took quite a bit longer, but have enjoyed tham all for different reasons up to now :)

2 Champions left to try out then its wether i buy the game now, or wait for bugs to be ironed out, as ive had some serious lag recently...but think i have definately been impressed having worryingly never played a diablo game before :)
