They do. I submitted a ticket after all my gold was taken. I also played a tonne by the time they got back to me and they offer a full account rollback only, not worth it if you've done lots.

Worryingly, no one seems to be sure where the hole is, forums, public games.. but a lot of people are being compromised..

The popular streamer barbs have the best gear almost already.

Act 1 -> Act 2 in inferno is just such a stupid jump.

The difficulty like triples from one quest to the next.

True and I guess its which play style you prefer as well as most ranged classes are forced to go the glass cannon route and so have to kite a lot whereas barbs and monks with the right gear and build can tank quite significant amounts of damage.

No I don't but I know of people who have had the same thing happen to them who do have one.

Yes lots of public games, I have some lvl1 Barb on recently played who I definitely have not played with, also defaulted to Normal Act 1 from Hell act 3.

There seems to be people who have never played public games getting cleared out because someone on there friends list has.

i had no one on my list, never played anything other than solo and only entered the chat channel twice. yet when i was "hacked" I had some random level 1 monk on my list who I'd never played with before and the coop achievement.

This is really worrying.

Until this morning I'd only read about people who'd been in public games being hacked but it seems as if just using the chat channel could be enough.
 
I'm guessing level 1's turn up on your friend's list once you've been hacked, because the hacker in your account adds a level 1 character (their friend) to offload the gear to them.

Yep, same here. Thinking of just asking for a refund to be honest, it's a decent game but so many issues.

Logged into one public game on the US servers when the EU ones were down.

Have you used the Diablo wiki? Lots of speculation going around, but idea that maybe a phishing/virus ad on that site....
 
So I stuck with my barb for a little longer last night. I think was getting pretty terrible luck with the mob abilities at the start. Not a single problem with white mobs, infact i can tank 20 of them at a time no problem, some rares and elites I can straight up own and downed SK in my first attempt.

My only question, does it count as farming yet if i'm still getting owned now and then by some rare packs and elites. Sometimes it's just a case of corpse running until I win, but I always do, unless it's some batsheet crazy ability combo.

For anyone wondering, I'm using the same stats as posted a few pages back with the following build: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/barbarian#WcRkVP!aXe!ZZbccc

Loot is still terrible, rng is a killer.

Edit: I have a weapon with +350 on hit, that with frenzy + two 15% attack speed rings is god.

Is the auction house messed up for anyone?, i can only see a handful of weapons up that have a few minutes left on them, totally screwed.

I'm sitting with 800k gold, and thats with levelling JC to lvl 7 and BS to level 6 so far. I'm on act 3 of hell, gold drops really go up once you hit the higher difficulties, there will be people playing inferno that will have considerably more gold than I do! Most of my gold is being saved to upgrade gear to switch from Hell to Inferno - quite the jump and will most likely need gear from AH to achieve :)
