Does anyone know anymore about the Kepler recall rumour?

Why would they recall something that, on the whole, works?

Probably - as was touched on in the update on the original site - the rumor was put around due to people shorting on stock - its happening a lot at the moment - was a lot of blatantly untrue rumours put out about where I work supposedly closing due to people shorting and trying to drive the share price down to get their return.

They ended up having to set aside a billion dollars to replace motherboards.

You have a point, however I would say that the two cases are different.

nvidia's problems can be solved by a software update, intel's problem couldn't

If this rumour originated from TSMC, then I doubt it's a software level fix.
