Thoughts on this please.

Very much depends on calorie intake and also the rep scheme's and weights being used in regards to rep max.

Personally I could not do that, my rotator cuffs and elbows would crumple into a kind of useless goo. If you're going 4 days a week then you need to do an upper / lower type split imho. Your shoulders and elbows wouldn't have the time to recover.

Again it would depend on the kind of weight being used but 4 day splits are usually used for optimal hypertrophy?

With things like bench press and squat I'll be doing triples once a week and then a lighter speed day. I think my joints should be up for the challenge, I've never had any bother from them in the past. Calories are 3k a day currently.

Ugh... there were people doing deads today.... ugh... I nearly cried. Ugh.... I had to fight the urge to drop a 50kg dumbell on their faces for being stupid **** idiots.

I don't know your bodyweight but if you're in calorie surplus then obviously that will help. Don't skimp on the fats.

I would seriously consider if 4 days a week in that format is a wise move though. Take it from me, I've been there and suffered the consequences for years (2x 2+ year lay-offs with injury) It's your body, you know what you can do, I'm only looking in from a very broad view and you did ask.

I'll raise you 2 rugby pillocks squatting.... well kinda quarter squatting... no more like knee bends really.... with inzer belts and knee wraps... I kid thee not!

I've tried to video them once but nearly got caught. I've kinda sorta got them but it does not fully display the idiocy on display :D I will upload a video of them one day and I swear you will think it's a setup lol!

Yeah it can be quite frustrating. I decided to tell them, not in a rude or aggressive sort of way. Just tend to embarrass them and try to get them to understand the need to respect the equipment before they get filled in by everybody else :D
All I got to do now is deal with the ones who lift hardly any weight but do all the screaming sigh :D

CW, sounds like they needed a 20kg plate to the face tbh!

There are several of these groups in my gym, all doing very similar things. One guy in particular who always seems to glare at me who is my favourite. He's either in his uni/course/whatever rugby hoody with the hood up or he's in a wife beater, but either way it looks as if he's carrying invisible rolls carpet under his arms despite having a very average/skinny physique. He also muttered "****head" at my brother for no reason that we could determine.

Then there are the usual plate stealers and equipment crowders, on top on the majority who leave DBs out everywhere.

Thankfully, most of these folk stay out of my way these days.

LiE, that looks ok, but you might need a little bit more pulling.

There's a bunch of skinny runts at my gym who do all the stuff above. They're there seemingly every day at the same time on the dot. From what I can tell in 8 months of training at my current gym they have made no gains whatsoever visibly or in terms of what they're lifting. Bunch of tools. In fact they're the main reason why I am now training later than I would otherwise.

He obviously wasn't fully prepared for my gelatinous desert :D.

LiE, are you able to go in any other days? I feel like you should spread out the 3 days in a row. Like my brother says you need more pulling, ideally at least 4 more exercises. Either that or drop some of the pushing, you don't want to have more pushing than pulling because it'll put too much stress on your shoulders.

I'm really glad my gym is so small because when there are the real teets in we tend to just tell them to sod off :).

Finally seeing good progress in squats now; All that mobility has really paid off!

Squats:
80x5
90x5
100x5x2
105x5

Bench Press:
70x5
80x5
90x5
90x4
95x2
97.5x1

BOR:
60x5
70x5x2
72.5x4
75x3x2

Ah that was a mistake, it should be mon, tues, thurs, fri.

Here's what I have. Added TRX inverted rows and GHRs and swapped Arnold press for Side Raises.

The best kind, rugby idiots who think they are much stronger than they are!
Had 2 of them (in their rugby shorts and socks) over on the smith machine while I was box squatting the other day.
Looking over and commenting while I was warming up (few body weight squats and deep seated squat holds). Didn't have so much to say when I actually had some weight on the bar and was making their wimpy smith squats seem pointless :D
