Now i got you in here, hoping you can help, due to a huge mess up at HMRC i should be getting a bit of money coming my way and im putting roughly £700 to one side for new PC. Ive spec up a few configuration, but seeing as i've never built a computer before, would like to see what you all come with

Requirements:

Must include retail version Windows 7
No monitor needed
Speakers not needed but a new decent 2.1 set up would be nice if possible in budget

Monitor and the basic keyboard and mouse, my current desktop is a 5 year old dell, so dont think any components i got running now will be any use along side a new rig

what if i up the budget an extra £50, would that really make that much of a huge difference?

With the extra £50 and the tiny bit left in your budget you could just get a 7850 if on offer like today with the VTX.

Or as Chris said, an SSD will improve load times and provide a more pleasant experience if you are impatient.

Just because if i choose to upgrade in the future i dont want to go through the expense of buying another OEm copy, i would rather be able to buy a copy i can reuse
