***The Official Samsung Galaxy S III Thread***

A little teaser of how the black model may look like:

compared to the blue

The blue looks soo different in pictures - mad how much variation there is.

The pic I took is pretty much how it looks in real-life.

i'd be careful pinning your hopes on that SD card, was due tobe released on the 5th but wasn't ;)

i snapped up 1 of the 32gb from OC as not really trusting that site for the card..

which is abit worrying, my S3 is also coming from it ;) :D

Yeah, I know what you mean, but Im getting the 16Gb model, so if the worst happens, I can just re-use my existing 16Gb card from my present phone to tide me through, I just hope they dont keep back the sim cutter until the card comes through.

As for the 64Gb bit, there is a thread on XDA where someone has tested and confirmed that the 64Gb XC card works in a galaxy S3, so Im confident that I will be OK..

Hope your phone does come through OK as that would just be tech hell...

I actually liked the blue in some of the review pictures - I hated the samsung press pictures - and it's these press pictures that it looks like in real life.

Nothing like that video above - otherwise I would have liked it.

You lucky git. :D Bite.

What's you FLEXT 35?

I'm £15.XX per month with T-Mobile for Unlimited Internet, Unlimited Text and a few hundred minutes which I'm not fussed with. Tethering seems to be included as I've been doing it on and off with no hassle. Rolling monthly PAYG effectively.

Flext 35 is roughly the same price but gives me £180 allowance to be used for anything i.e. no rigid limit to minutes/SMS and it is 500MB FUP data.

Basically works out at either 900mins or roughly 600 mins/600SMS if split 66/33. Effectively it's the same tariff but the new one has 1GB extra data (1.5GB as opposed to 500MB).

I think it's a done deal but just checking what I may be losing just now :)

I am just no sure what colour to go for. I wish there was a side by side comparison of even just the front as I will be getting a bumper cover.

I think the Flext tariff is great - I'm on Flext40 with FF - lets me call 08 numbers for free, and can use half my allowance for international calling. I regularly go over 500MB too with no issue from t-mobile.

Just ordered this as an upgrade via o2, 49.99 for the handset, 18 months deal with 3 month early upgrade, 900 minutes, unlimited texts and 750mb net. Costing me £32.90 pm after discount. I can live with that. :)

Yeah that's where I am stuck. According to this - Click Me, 08 numbers are still included (I will check this). I don't ever call international destinations either (never have in 12 years of mobile ownership) plus only some Flext plans included International calls in their allowance which mine does not appear to (again I will check this)....

edit: I am loathed to leave TMO as I currently have the F&F discount for life which was changed a few years ago. People now joining only get F&F until the employee leaves TMO. I can choose any PP (apart from Full Monty just now) and get 50% off line rental for life as long as I don't close my account.

I'm on a 18month contract and mine FF is for life too - don't think I'll ever be switch from T-Mo. What was your last deal i.e. last upgrade?

I think they may be cutting back on the great deals we get - I got a free SGS2 for £360 all in on flext40 18 months - supposed to be £720.

I upgrade from chitter chatter too - unbranded handset FTW.

Went into Orange to get a Microsim in preparation for next Wednesday, was told to phone CS on 150 and get one sent out. Urgh but fine that makes sense.

Called them, took 10 minutes to get through, explained everything and was told I would be passed through to the correct department. Another 10 minutes on hold and I'm asked what phone I'm getting so I say Galaxy S3 and they say it's not on their system so they can't give me one.

I'm like WTF! She puts me on hold for 10 minutes to speak to her supervisor. By the time she's got back I just say, right I'm gonna tell you I'm getting an iPhone to get one sent out. She says it won't work as the Microsim will need to be either 16GB, 32GB or 64GB.

I'm again like WTF no sim cards are that size at all, I just want my current Sim card but in Microsim form. She says they can't send me one till the phone is released and it's on their system. So I explain I'll buy the phone on release day and then have to wait 4 days to be able to use it. Argh!

She then offers me £5 credit on my account, tells me to go to a market and buy any microsim I see and then call them back and they will link this microsim to my account.

Such a massive ballache.

I'm just going to attempt to cut it I think.

I am going to go back into the Orange shop and kick off though, I can't over the phone as I understand about 1 in every 3 words spoken by the CS agents!

Went down to the local o2 shop at lunch time and asked for a sim/micro sim. Took them 3mins to sort it out, 60 mins later it was activated and is now in my 5800 ready to have the micro sim popped out when my s3 arrives.

Quality........ :)

Play will use Special Del (or priority courier) on such high value items. They said (again) that it is also first come first dispatch basis so people who pre-ordered early will get priority over new pre-orders as they're higher in the queue so are more likely to get it on the 30th.

Well done!
I have rang O2 a couple of times but they would give no discounts and I have been with them 15 years :(
How did you manage that?

Try phoning 2432, I called them on that a month ago and they said they would do a deal if I could get something cheaper elsewhere.
