Oh dear. I've programmed guestbooks with case-sensitive passwords. Why the hell would a multi-billion money gaming company not do something so simple?
it's actually not THAT big a deal. brute force attempts will lock your account down before they get to your password + it makes it a lot easier to remember

As someone who has been working on web based systems for about 12 years, case-sensitivity is always a happy side affect of hashing for storage over being implemented for security purposes.

Gonna roll a barb soon I reckon, seems like it will be the best class for soloing Inferno if geared right. After the SS nerf my DH, even with decent gear, is still probably going to be one-shot anyway or have gimped dps.

I reckon I could still do some soloing in Inferno later acts, but it would be painful and I would die. A lot!

Simply put, you're expected to trade. I can't begin to tell you how long I spent in the trade channel in Diablo 2. 90% of the time the drops you got were useless to you personally.

And trust me, 4-player co-op in hell mode from act 2 onwards... You're gonna need the best gear you can equip. Packs of champions with extra health, molten, mortar, freezing, vortex, and/or (my favourite) invulnerable minions.

you can't compare diablo 2 to 3 in terms of items, not even close.

Diablo 2 there was a few sets, rune words used for each class end of story. (at end game) it was also very cheap and easy to get what you needed any time of the day.

diablo 3 looks to me as though you have to scrimp and scrape to get just a little ahead until you choose to do one of a few things...

you can either farm and get lucky and find an item you can use, or as you are farming use the gold on the AH to get what you need.

it's two complete different instances of how items affect a game.

D2 was for the hell of it, you could solo everything on hell with just magic items, but everyone likes nice gear - difference is it wasn't actually needed as much as it is in D3

I'm not sure how long it will take to get a set of something decent let alone actual set items (are they even in-game yet?) but i can bet it's 100000000x longer than it will be compared to D2 :D

as long as the AH isn't going to stay at these stupid prices then it shouldn't be too much bother.

Is being easier to remember really a pro though? People should remember their passwords anyway.

It's not the "requirement" of it that makes it ridiculous, it's the simpleness of it. You know.... it may aswell be in 'cause it'll do nothing but help, even if not by much.

I doubt it as many people have the same issue. I get stuttering all the time, i've grown used to it now even though i hate it.

You will just have to deal with it to be honest until they fix it as the majority of us are having to do.

But I've never had the frame rate drop issue before. In combat every time I hit a mob my fps will cut to 30.

So annoying. :/

On to Act IV NM. :)

I just solo'd Azmodan with relative ease. Anyone up to Act IV playing? I'm just about to start it and want to get through as quickly as possible.

Yeah that would bug me majorly aswell, Blizz has really dropped the ball with the stuttering and router error 3007 problems.

It seems with the routers that they are loosing a couple of packets to the blizzard server and then get dropped out of game. I had to put mine in DMZ mode to be able to play properly.

They really do need to sort these issues out asap.

If you die at all in normal mode, you should probably give up gaming entirely.

I have died several times on normal but these were exceptional circumstances I think.

Off the top of my head I got a jailer and then 3 elites that crushed me and another was Jailer and swarmed.

Ok, still having basically no problem with Act III NM... Also, finding stuff is finally starting to shift on the AH. I'm also listing things more intelligently. A lot of the stuff is barb stuff, and I know what I'd narrow my search by if I was looking for stuff, hence I'm starting to realise why some things won't sell. Basically if it doesn't have Str + Vit and is a barb item I just sell it to a merchant in game....

Yeah same here. What price do you sell things for though? I typically sell stuff for 1.5-2k 'cause i know they'll sell quick and by the time 10 items have sold i'll have another 10 to stick on there. I sell items i bought from the AH for a little more though, but still no more than 3-4k.

I put a buyout of up to 5k. I'll raise the buyout price once I hit 60, but for the time being, that seems to shift it well.

I've also found follower items, shift well...

Wizard :)

No cheesy Energy Armor, had to go tank mode for it. 52k HP, 6k armor, 600 all resistances, -20% melee damage passive. Even with all that tanking, he almost one shot me near the end (when he smacks both his hands down together). Also one of the little green puddles would have one shot me, left me with 4k HP left from full HP and I had Diamond Skin up (21k absorb).

Edit: Just had a crack at Act 3, trash mobs are serious business! one of the flying things just two shotted me in tank mode.

Out of topic, whats ur time played on that wizard and have u done any inferno/hell in groups or just solo?

I've ditched my wiz after I got to inferno, found the fact that you have to kite everything combined with the fact that 9/10 champs are mostly immune to any cc ridiculous.

Found barb much stronger and easier, no need to run from champs just smash them within seconds, so much more damage and surv even when going all damage build.

Tho your gear sounds ridiculous hence asking the time played ;-). Or I guess u just got some lucky drops sold for X milion.
What spells do you use ?

Can anyone tell me why this is?

First time playing Diablo 3 today, stuttered/FPS drops until about half an hour of play, then it went pretty much 90% smooth.
