Anyone own a e46 m3?

Go and hang yourself, I clearly said CS. Honestly sometimes this place, it's like a race to the bottom. I'd continue this rant but I don't know what I'm ranting about.

Bit all over it would appear!

With the advent of iPhones and other iDevices that leave people unable to type without error, I incorrectly assumed you meant CSL.

Has put a set of michelins ps3 on the focus and I'm now on a set of Goodyear f1 asymmetric 2 which I think are a far better tyre. Grip ways I think they are just as good but the goodyears are lasting a lot longer. The michelins have great grip but didn't last long at all on the car was disappointed in them plus the goodyears a £30 cheaper a corner highly recommend the goodyears

I briefly looked at the M3 E46 as you an get them for just over £2K more than the equivalent 350z.

The running costs I could afford but I don't like the look of them. The 350z is is a lot better looking in my eyes and is a car that you can modify without spoiling the image. Whereas the M3 is best left stock.

So 350Z for me! :D

How dare you try and convince yourself that it was a move you wanted and the Nissan is the better car?! Apologise to pepsilol immediately.

Mods?!!?

Why are people saying more than you can afford? How do yous know what sort of salerys we are on the point of the thread is to find out the running costs of the m3 so we can judge for ourselves if we can afford to run one or out.

It's a film quote.

I would not expect anyone that writes 'salerys' to be able to run an M3 properly. Perhaps this is exacty the type of person that buys them now. Go figure.

If you are looking at an e46 m3 make sure the 1200 mile service was completed, that basically dictates whether the car will blow up and die or live a long happy life, it's essential and there are loads out there which had this service done around 2000+. The running in oil used should not be left in the car past a maximum of 1400-1500 having this done can knacker the engine.

new brakes cost a small fortune, tyres aren't the cheapest and are different sizes front to rear so even if you wanted to you can't rotate them,

good cars though even if the exhaust pipe sounds like a dying wasp

You are right. Everyone who buys a japanese 2 seater V6 wishes they had a german 4 seater straight 6.

These 350z owners are just in denial.

Edit: I also like big spoilers. Big spoiler on a M3 would be ridiculously chavvy, whereas the 350Z can get away with it :D

Someone was telling my that the subframe is a comen fault and BMW fix it for free is this ture?

I have been told by a friend who has an 03 that BMW will fix it if the subframe has cracks/fractures and the car is less than 10 years old. Don't know the validity of this claim though...

O right so someone makes a spelling mistake they can't afford a m3 . Think I'll be the judge of that
