Why does the fact he remained loyal to a relegated team have anything to do with his goalkeeping ability? Shouldn't players be picked on form? Also, he's not a second tier player.
You clearly haven't seen enough of him if you think he's been "Damp" for the last couple of years. He doesn't particularly fill me with confidence either from set peices, but "Damp" really isn't the word
How many teams came in for him in the summer? I'd hazard a guess to say that had more of an impact on where he was playing than his loyalty.
Quite right, I wouldn't use the word damp either. I would however use the word "dump".
Yeeeeeno, pretty sure that's not how it works. The fact that the majority of the England squad play in England makes that sound just as silly as it always does...
The same Malaga that have European football, without Green?
Why does who I support have anything to do with my opinion on Green?![]()

In other news, Germany lost 5 - 3 to the Swiss.
Had it actually been the finals, I doubt Germany would've rested their squad.
You asked who were in for him?
My point is with the amount they were investing, european football was a realistic possability. He would have been aware of this.
How much of him have you seen this season?
Dump is a bit strong, but I certainly don't rate him.
Well I respect your opinion. I differ but atleast we can agree he doesn't fill either of us with confidence.
So you think it's right then to over saturate our Premiership football teams with players from abroad? Yeah right.
More home grown quality ENGLISH players is what we need to make a good England squad and in it's current form we don't have much quality to choose from.
I'm sticking to my guns as I know loads of football fans who think the same way as me.
so I don't see how forcing them to play in a league of mediocrity (without foreign players) will help them at all.If we don't have players from abroad we get lumped with a league that looks like the game tonight...
There has to be a balance to make sure the game in England is entertaining but also nurtures and develops English players.
"home grown ENGLISH players" are the only people eligible to play for Englandso I don't see how forcing them to play in a league of mediocrity (without foreign players) will help them at all.
You can't blame the premier league's make up for a rubbish England squad, you can though blame the people who pick the England squad because it is oh so very hard to pick one without the media breathing down everyones neck... Or you could blame the English players for believing their own hype too quickly then being tossed out as soon as they don't instantly make it (though in Walcott's case he hasn't really).
Anyway I'm sticking to my guns as I know loads of football fans who think the same way as me.

'home grown talent' it's the home grown talent that gets picked for the England squad

I do agree that there has to be a balance or the Premiership would get boring, I just think there should be more of a strict cap on how many foreign players to each Premiership team to encourage more 'home grown talent' as it's the home grown talent that gets picked for the England squad and I do believe we need more quality English players brought up through the ranks.
e.g Andy Carroll as a forward? He's total carp IMO.
Peace.
