pearce had the right idea against holland , looked great for a team that had never played together. looks like england going that direction has been put off for another few years

Don't know why people are surprised. As soon as we scored we were always going to shut up shop and with it being a friendly Roy was bound to experiment in the second half which always disrupts play. Despite disliking him immensely, a win's all that matters today and if he gets it good on him.

Lescott and jagielka have done ok in fairness. I appreciate they havent exactly been tested...... I'm clutching at straws.

Does no one else not find the fact that Walcott can't cross, can't beat his man, is scared of the ball and literally can't shoot, he can only pass the ball into the net, weak ass shot, pathetic shot. Then he gets in those positions and passes from anything between 12-30 yards out and it looks like a joke.

How is he a professional footballer, no idea at all.

Boring game. I think England have no chance in the Euro's.

Let's face it we are **** at international football.

Far to many foreigners in the Premiership has ruined England as a team over the years.

We simply don't have enough home grown talent.

When international call up happens all we are left with is the ****e in the bottom of the barrel to scrape up a team.

Big shame really.

:(

Yeeeeeno, pretty sure that's not how it works. The fact that the majority of the England squad play in England makes that sound just as silly as it always does...

It's all down to an inability to read past the media hype and fans expectations so no manager can actually pick an England that might want to win and form a team (usually just an overhyped and overpaid idiots).

It's amazing.

We made a killing selling him as a "hot prospect", just sad to see him messing it up on an international stage.

You clearly don't watch him week in week out.

I felt he just needed a kick to look quite so comfortable in the knowledge that he's just not really being challenged for his place.

He was man of the match when we went to West Ham, had an answer for everything Sharp and Lambert threw at him.

OMG THIS IS TERRIBLE WOY OUT!!!!!111

Give it a rest lads, ya'll doom and gloom in here! :p

It's a friendly, a chance for a run out, to try things, its not really important.

England have been this bad to watch for 3 or 4 years tbf, we were painfully dull under Capello, it's not the shape/tactics/formation as Capello tried just about everything, its the players, they either look slow or ponderous or rushed and out of control

How can you make a team play exciting football when there's 20 minute spells where they literally can't string 5 passes together

That wasn't by any means our best team, so don't worry too much yet. It will be for the Belgium game and that will be interesting, they've got a far stronger team too.

Seen him plenty to gauge an unbiased opinion.

Sad state of affairs when a second tier player is the countries number 2.

Why does the fact he remained loyal to a relegated team have anything to do with his goalkeeping ability? Shouldn't players be picked on form? Also, he's not a second tier player.

You clearly haven't seen enough of him if you think he's been "Damp" for the last couple of years. He doesn't particularly fill me with confidence either from set peices, but "Damp" really isn't the word.
