Go browse any hunting forum in the states, you'll find plenty. It's not that difficult to look into and I'm sure you are aware of that. BF3 makes them a railgun that's for sure which doesn't relate to real life use, I'm not arguing with that. The gross generalisation that shotguns are only good for up to 50 yards just isn't realistic either.

To be honest this game can be quite a comedy. There's lots of rounds I'm chuckling so hard I can't focus. As well as some of the player discussions.

I'm so stressed with work at the moment I daren't play BF3, I'm sure I'd have to buy something new after have a massive rage attack! Luckily I'm also too busy to play!
 
Got a gun accessories related question. Not sure what happened after the patch, or if I never noticed at all, but t he M27 IAR has a fierce initial kick in its recoil. I haven't used it in a while and I was surprised by the sudden kick. Are there an ideal set of attachments for it? I tried Flash Supp. and Laser for the heck of it, it made it a little better but I guess it's just a gun that you have to deal with recoil?

Besides, I'm pretty sure that all weapons are easier to aim / fire in BF3 than real life.

Yes, thats what is known as a very lucky shot. Yes of course weapon handling characteristics will never be replicated in game, (felt recoil), a 7.62mm round fired from a bolt action rifle feels different than one fired from a semi auto, the semi auto weapon bleeds gas from the previous round to feed the next round into the chamber, soaks up recoil. Lot's of moving parts, hence snipers still stick with bolt actions.

My copy of BF3 for the P.C finally came through yesterday. Shame I'm at work all weekend and can't take advantage of the double x.p weekend.

Looked quite nice, but was only running at 1680 x 1050. Got around 80 FPS on Ultra.

I assume when I put it on a 1080p monitor that will go down quite a bit? What about the difference with 23" vs 27" monitor?
