You guys are right, buying and selling on the AH is pretty fun, starting to get the hang of it :D

I've got 10 things on atm that aren't shifting due to too high price though, once they end I'll start for real.
 
Just managed to get to the end of act 2 after many deaths, cant kill belial yet tho. 0 chance.

However, after selling couple of things on AH I thought I'd get some more tanking gear ( I have good dps gear but no tanking as I played full dps till end of act 2 inferno ).

Bought few pieces with allres/physical res and higher armor.

OH GOD WHAT A DIFFERENCE !!!!!!!!
I went to act1 last quest to test it and rofl, this is hilarious, I can now afk the normal mobs and most champions, they just dont deal any damage to me at all. Normal mobs hit me for 200-400dmg down from 3-8k they did before and champions like the berserkers with their big swing of death, that used to hit me for 30-40k, sometimes ill die in 1 hit with dps spec and now it hardly deals any dmg, like 3-4k, I can just stand there and slowly beat them to death without loosing any hp.

Pro tip tho - get res/physical res/armor/str over vita. No point having 60-70k hp if u get hit for 15k. I have only just over 40k now but I just dont take any damage with 600+ all res and 700+ physical and 9k armor ;S.
 
Took out Belial earlier on Act 2 Nightmare in my DH. First time I took him down to 1/3 hp and got caught in a bad spot vs the meteors and got owned while potions were on recharge.
Went back in again being a bit more careful, letting the Sentry Gun work its magic and keeping Caltrops w/ damage rune up on the edge of the platform while I focused more on evasion than damage dealing. Took him down only getting hit about 3 times (got the achievement for not getting hit by meteors too) and he seemed to go down faster than before too, even though I wasn't attacking him as much.

Great fight though. Roll on act 3.

Finally managing to progress through Act 3 after finding a gear and ability setup that works for me on my Wizard. Used a different set up for each Act now after finding something that works. Act 1 was just mass DPS with AoE due to how slow the majority of the monsters are. Act 2 had to go pure tanking with a shield due to the monsters being difficult to control.

Act 3, currently running with a kite build with 24% bonus movement (really helps). I need more health though (currently 48k in my gear set up) as some hits are getting through Energy/Force Armor and one shotting me, going to try to get that up to 55k. Going to get into a position where I can farm a boss, probably the first, for drops.

It's such a great game, really loving Inferno and the challenges it brings.

Not just resist gear, its gotta be with str and armor, and you need a lot of it.

That's for act2+ tho, dont bother in act1, i finished act 1 with 0 surv.

Add me in game PhoenixUK#2160 I can have a look at ur stuff : ), maybe u just use wrong skills.
 
Belial owned me in 2nd phase : (. 1050 physical res and still hits 30k lol.
Guess ill need couple of those 10milion 200str 200vita 50 res items before I can take him down :D
 
Glad people are starting to see the best way to get gear is by clever use of the AH, Iv done very little farming and have only played like a couple of hours per day and my char sheet looks like this:

Even if you sit on AH all day it's still luck, sometimes u cant find anything good and sometimes u get a massive bargain.

Earlier today I was looking for some rings for my tanking set, I've found 2 nearly perfect ones for peanuts but someone pressed the buyout button 1second before me. Have been looking for same kind of rings all day - nothing.

With the amount of people trading on the AH currently which is probably in tenths or hundreds of thousands at the same time the luck factor is massive just like with drops ;-).

I really disagree with this, if you know the right search terms and the right markets you can sit searching for something fairly specific with fairly reliable results and be the person in the right position to press 'buy' first without even looking directly at the stats.

Jesus that damage, I have more crit, crit dmg, intellect but only have 12.3k, I assume it's my attack speed. (1.3)

damn i really hate buy/sell market manipulation games. I played mmos and i still cant get the hang of it. most of the time I buy something to resell I end up losing more money hahaha
 
Don't know if i can be bothered farming act 1 inferno any more. In order to clear act 3 I need better gear but any upgrades now are running in multiple millions of gold each.
 
Had a good days gaming today, levelled up to 25 with my Monk, just moved onto Act 3.

Died once fighting Belial as I didn't read up on what to do first, stayed in the green areas too long on phase 2 and took too much damage.

Second time stayed out of them when they appeared and walked it.
 
At what what difficulty does gear really become important? I'm in act 2 nightmare atm, and jus pumping tonnes of dex into my DH because I rarely get hit.
 
Just cleared Normal mode last night, had been having trouble on the last few maps getting one shotted a lot - and the big cheese himself was eating me for lunch.

Quick trip to the AH for some new gear and nothing could touch me. If i'd been wearing gear that dropped for the level then no chance.
