Mickeys cafe is good for a character meal, it's just at the entrance to the disney village bit.
Grab an autograph book and get the characters to sign it, it's always a nice touch.
If you go in the disney studios all the characters come through a gate next to the cinemagique show, it's a great place to meet and greet before the hordes. If you miss them there then equip yourself with pepper spray to fend off the overly eager and spoilt kids, and the obnoxious pushy parents. You will quickly learn the lesson that we are the only nation that understands the concept of queueing.
Jump on the train and go to the next station down, there is a supermarket, stock up, all food is hyper expensive and quite frankly rubbish, to the point of macdonalds being the cheapest and best they have to offer, they also do beer as part of the meal deal.
If you are stopping in a disney hotel take advantage of the early bird tickets for the main park, it saves hours of queueing for frankly rubbish rides.
