After 5 months of buying parts I finally have my PC!! Put it all together but when I turn it on it switches on for a split second and turns off!!!

Specs are:

i7 3370k
Gigabyte Z68AP-D3
Cooler Master Silent Pro 600 Gold
Crucial Ballistix sport 16gb 1600Mhz
WD green 1TB 64Mb cache *single platter*
Crucial RealSSD M4 128gb
Pioneer 24x DVR-S19LBK
Gelid Tranquillo CPU Cooler
Noctua NF-R8
Truequiet 120mm Fan
Wireless network card
Asus Xonar DG 5.1

Not sure what I've done wrong, I took my time but it's probably my fault!

Any suggestions?

1. Go over each wire and make sure it's securely attached.
2. Have you plugged in the 8-pin CPU power connector and 24-pin motherboard power?
3. Try removing things you don't need, so sound card, network card, DVD-RW, mechanical drive, just use the bare minimum.
4. Use a single stick of RAM, install in the memory slot furthest away from the CPU and try booting. If no luck move it to a different slot and retry. Try different memory sticks too.
5. Have you installed the motherboard brass stand-offs?
6. Does the CPU fan spin up (if connected)? Presumably you used thermal paste when applying the cooler?
7. Double check front panel connectors? These can sometimes be a bit tricky and easy to get wrong. Try shorting the two power pins on the motherboard using a screwdriver to make sure it's not a front panel power on switch fault.
8. Any LED's on the motherboard or error bleeps?

1. done.
2.I don't think their is an 8-pin on the board. Their is one 4 pin that I have connected up and it now runs for 10 seconds! It restarts itself every 10 seconds and makes 2 bleeps.
3.tried this.
4.I'll give this a go.
5.I have. Are they important?
6.All fans spin and yes I did use thermal paste.
7.I will do this. I did have a bit of trouble with this. the colours don't match. I've put the coloured wire in the + part and the white (pressuming it's the ground) in the other.
8.Can't see any LED's and their are 2 bleeps every time it starts.

cant DSR it then maybe if you post in customer service and ask if you can send it back and get them to update the bios for you assuming its from OCUK explain theres no way you can get another CPU

it could be a PSU problem but with it been a z68 board and not the z77 bios was my 1st punt
should have the 24pin connected and the 4/8 pin near the PSU

But how are you suppose to do a bios update when it doesn't even turn on!! If this is the issue then it makes no sense! I think it's something else....or at least I hope so!!! Anyone with any other ideas? It makes 2 bleeps when it starts and their is no image on the monitor.
