OCUK dispatch times - anyone know the answer?

Meh, same happens if you pay for it.

With OcUK, paying for DPD next day is literally exactly the same as getting free next day delivery

you get the exact same service that you pay for...

free delivery isnt a lesser service.

he ordered after what is normally the cut off time for the items to be shipped that day though so maybe the calender shouldnt have let him select monday unless they were still shipping new orders

Do OCUK not dispatch on Saturdays then? That would certainly explain why it hasn't left yet, I certainly wasn't expecting a Friday dispatch after the order being processed at 16:28 on Friday!

I would have thought 5UB would have mentioned it if they didn't.

They do ship on Saturdays

ocuk ship on saturdays but some couriers wont have your parcel in transit anywhere on a sunday so it could sit in a collection hub all sunday in which case your unlikely to recieve it on a monday
 
5UB has let me know this morning that he's on it and sure enough I've had the dispatch email this morning so that's good.

On the dispatch email it says "Please note: Orders shipped after 4:30pm on a Friday may not be due for delivery until the following Tuesday as they are not collected by our courier over the weekend."

That's fair enough, there was only a few minutes before my order and the cut off time, however I've suggested to him that it would be better if that note was put on the order confirmation email rather than the dispatch email, t'would have avoided the confusion.

Main thing is it's on it's way and it's DPD so I'll get a good idea of when it's going to come!

Hey BigCheese, hope you get your items soon.

I've also ordered a big ass pre-built system too on Friday at 3:36pm on the 25th May.

It can take up to 48 hours to build and one day for postage I got told (I paid the £15 P&P >.< ). So I am hoping it comes today but I expect it to come tomorrow as OC don't work on Sundays.

I bet you're like me and can't wait till they arrive now ^.^

I will let you know when i receive mine as i would have thought they should be dispatched around the same time?

EDIT: Mine are also still 'In our warehouse queue'
 
If you ordered a pre-built system it can take a couple of days to build, I'm sure it says that somewhere.

5UB as usual is very helpful. He needs a promotion or something.

It was DPD Next Day, we will send you a tracking number later today, if you use that tomorrow morning around 9am they will update you with the time of delivery so you know exactly what time it will be delivered. :)

There shall be Haribos! :D

Either way, OcUK's delivery service (previously, not ordered from them for a couple of years now) has always been bang on.

Thing is OcUK free delivery for forum members isn't like the free delivery option that competitors typically use which is trading price with priority and may take 3-5 days. The option here is literally OcUK subsidising the standard DPD next day delivery (its one of the reasons I shop with OcUK when I can (even tho DPD have been excellent for me) I grudge every penny of mine that goes to delivery/courier services due to how miserable most of the delivery drivers are and how rubbish the average delivery service usually is).

I'll be honest, I forgot how the free delivery worked here (forum member bonus etc etc) Anyway, I've apologised to the OP :)
