Won't be today.

I called up asking what the status of my 9th May order was, they said they are suffering badly with stock shortages, and aren't expecting anymore until tomorrow at the earliest.

Hope you get it ASAP though :)

I want to allow myself to be excited for tomorrow, but knowing my luck ill be left with disappointment.

Will be in town when the P4U shop opens up.
 
Westfield Stratford have 40 white S3s available for walk in purchase, everything else is reserved for pre-orders.

They are opening at 6PM for collections and the first 50 people will get Olympic tickets.

There are currently 6 or 7 people already queuing so anyone nearby that wants a white one and free tickets, get there sharpish I guess :p

I find it very easy to pick out differences in sound quality between devices, stereos and speakers/headphones that's why I said it. Granted, I understand that audio is subjective and some people won't hear such a big difference between audio sources regardless of what earphones are used.

This is why I'm quite picky with my audio hardware on everything. I know what the Wolfson chip sounds like already on good headphones (SGS1), for example.

Ah well in that case, its a pretty understandable recall, no way they could ship 600k units with that kind of defect!

So no blue ones then?? was planning to go after work and see if they had any blue ones available to pick up. Not sure if i like the white one, had a play with one yesterday before i went into work and it didnt leap out at me whereas the blue one i thought was much better than the white version.

Oh well looks like ill have to tell my cousin to hang fire on taking my One X until i can get my hands on a blue SGS3...he wont be pleased:p
 
Ok, Just called Three again, and they have had an internal email saying that the pebble blue is delayed.
I have changed my order to a white one.
If anyone else who has pre ordered a pebble blue with Three and wants to change to white get in there quick.
 
Westfield have blue ones but have been instructed not to sell any and will be sending them back asap!

If I knew I could get there before 6PM and get before position 50 then I wouldn't care about owning a white one tbh :p
 
Hmmh,

Trying to decide wither or not its worth picking the phone up sim-free or not.

£500 for the phone
- £250 for my iPhone 4.
with £10 per months giff gaff, 250 mins unlimited texts + data.

Any contracts over 18 / 24 months similar to that?

Oh right, oh well thats a shame...was looking forward to picking up a blue one.

Will wait till the blue ones have been sorted out and then get one methinks unless my itchy trigger finger decides to plump for the white one instead.
 
Well Done Samsung on a complete botch up but at least white S3's are available if anyone wants that colour, it's better than no S3's at all.

I for one will wait and see what happens I'll keep my preorder with Rainforest in the meantime. However with the Huawei Ascend D Quad around the corner and the HTC One XL being released in Germany very soon I may switch and get one of those instead.

Still it happens to the best of them - remember the debacle with the white Jesus phone last year?

Here's the official line from Samsung :-

“Samsung’s GALAXY S III Pebble Blue version comes with a newly invented blue colour and special hyperglaze material.

“In order to meet the highest internal quality standards and to provide the best quality GALAXY S III to customers, a short supply of Pebble Blue version is expected in some regions in the next 2-3 weeks.

“Samsung is working hard to ensure that customers will get the Pebble Blue coloured devices as soon as possible.”

Make sense of that! I didn't know that they invented a new blue colour!
