Hah no, nothing of that sort. Some software bits. We regularly have had Samsung going through our offices, last time was yesterday. The main lady is a SERIOUSLY fit Korean. I invited myself to one of the meetings just because of that :p
 
I'm home with my white s3. :) Had a good time talking to the nerdy men in the queue and drinking champagne, whilst being entertained by a magician who got me waving a fork around till it bent! I'm getting sent a docking charger as a gift and ticket to the men's singles table tennis at the olympics... Thanks to Mrk for posting about the first 50 in the queue as otherwise I would have just wandered around the shops aimlessly wasting time till 6.

Tell me about it, if truth be told it was just an an excuse to try out the "stick it where the AMOLED doesn't shine" line, which clearly bombed :p

Deep down I know there is no great rush, my currently phone is perfectly capable (Desire HD) and compared to a lot of people I'm historically not really one for mobile phones (10 years ago, I didn't even have one, and my first couple of phones I didn't upgrade when it was due). Looking at my posting history I didn't post at all in this forum between 2006-9!

Over the past couple of years I've just decided to treat myself to the odd shiny thing rather than always settling for something that is good value and get caught up in the hype :)
 
Yeah I'm the same really, the excitement has worn off due to the delay and now that I'm in normal mode I can see that I can stick with the S2 until the Blue issues get sorted out :p

Same for me too when I went to Westfield and didn't like the Blue.

I'll be in normal mode up until 'The Black' is announced.
 
I echo the thoughts of some of the users here. For some reason I haven't been excited as I thought I'd be about the launch of the S3. I'm usually the first to go out there and get the latest and greatest phone but for some reason I'm rather subdued about the S3.

Yes I have the Pebble Blue S3 on pre order but I wasn't disappointed that the release has been put back until the manufacturing defects have been sorted out.

Until my HTC One S will do me fine, hell the S2 would've also been fine if I hadn't sold it a while back (I'm wishing I hadn't)

I'm sure in about a month things will be sorted an consumers can choose between the white and blue and even a black S3 until then we should wait and chill.
 
There is meant to be a black model released a couple of months after launch but with all this hassle with the Blue model I can see the bring that forward to weeks :p
 
Got the dreaded 'Contact Us' from Mobiles.co.uk' email late this afternoon.

Rang them up where they asked me to confirm details. The reason stating its been 'declined'.

She said she would look into this as their having quite a high number of applications coming back from 3 as declined and blamed it on a technical error.

2 minutes later... Accepted!.

Free case and screen protector issued within 28 days I think she said. I hope its not that mesh one shown earlier as that was stinking.

I have missed the 4pm delivery for Royal Mail but she said she might be able to get me it tomorrow by Yodel to which I said no thank you, Thursday before 1pm will be great.

As a spoiler just before a competitor releases a valid foe, I'm hoping Sep but expect in the shops early Nov, so get the black S3 then the Note 2 early 2013.
 
Samsung has a track record of releasing best selling phones in different colours - the S2 is a prime example of this.

Black > White > Pink all released within a year of its release across different markets.

It's only a matter of time before Samsung release a black version of the S3.
