Having worked in IT for a while though, I had an uneasy feeling I went through to some sort of temporary overflow desk, it was all apologies and no explanation.
They are lying to you. No one is getting a blue this week, doesn't matter when you pre-ordered it unfortunately.
I ended up speaking to someone who seemed to know what he was on about (yeah I know lol)
As I said in a earlier post he claimed that an email was sent around their office about 40 minutes before I called at 14.30, he read the email to me, I can't remember exactly what it said but it was basically, all the blue ones are going back to Samsung, and he could not give me a date for delivery.
So I switched to white.
I'm starting to come to that conclusion myself. on the downside my PUK code expires on the 9th of june, but on the up side I've still got another month to run on my O2 contract, so waiting for 3 to get me a s3blue may actually save me a months wasted line rental
I'm failing to understand how people who pre ordered the blue are now turning to white for the sake of a few weeks. You will be tied to it for 24 months in a colour which is second choice to you. Surely 20 or even 30 days is worth waiting for to then have two years in your first choice aesthetic?

Has anyone got/tried an official flip cover?

Try going 3 weeks minimum without a phone, possibly longer, no one knows.
Plus the time limit for the puk code expiring etc.
I personally don't mind white, just preferred blue.
Its not as if the phones will function any differently.
Mine will be in a case anyway so not really that bothered.
I’m interest to see how Samsung have taken a step further from the vanilla Android I’ve been using on my last two Nexus phones. The step up in hardware is also of interest to me. So I couldn't resist in having a play. The Galaxy Nexus will still be used at home but not by me.

I honestly could not live with a white phone, Im slightly wary of the blue.. give me a dark grey/gun metal look any day....my slightly battle damaged HTC desire will have to tow the line a while longer!

I'm happy to stick with my white because it doesn't look too bad and the screen takes up most of the front anyways. This is more of a stop-gap until the iPhone 5 anyways...

It's the model details that I'm after and that code gives the UK model product code which will be the same for all devices.

I dunno about you but I think fluid and snappy are two different things, with the S3 being the first and the 4S being the latter. It's hard to explain because we all have different perceptions about it.
To put it in a way, would I miss the snappiness of my 4S? Nah not really lol. Something that opens way too quickly gives me a slight headache, while stutter free fluid animations are what I prefer. Maybe I need an eye test soon.
Mind you, I haven't had the chance yet to fill it to the rim with apps and 7 home screens worth of widgets. I could run some benchmarks for you guys as well if you like, if you tell me which apps to download.
Before I go to sleep, I would say this may not snatch customers away from Apple, because at the end of the day the average customer really doesn't care as it's their first smartphone. But for those who have had one iPhone model after the other, they may fancy the change. So the next iPhone better be different!
