No in REX menu you can either select custom themes or real world weather (I think).

I had a 5 minute play with it last night and it looks brilliant. The haze layer was so realistic. Well recommended and it's free so you can't beat it.

Yes that’s right. It gives you 3 options, the two you mentioned and one other and that’s after I choose a theme and clicked install!

Will have to have a proper look tonight!

So I got REX working now(not sure what was wrong before) and to be honest I can’t see that much difference from REX 2. Yes thunder and lightning has improved a lot, some cloud formations look a lot better but really can’t see the massive improvement?? Unless I’m really not doing something wrong, which is quite possible lol :p

On that note, anybody keen to do some flying this weekend, posted the mumble details we can setup a session on multiplayer? I know blue said he can help with a few things?

OK OK...i gave in. Bought the sim and VFR Gen X ver3 for uk. Must say i'm loving it. I used to fly sims back in the day...CFS1/2. Screenie below of the A2A Spitfire over Duxford at dusk.

Thanks. I bought (from that link) Vol 1 2 3 in a box set. that covers the uk and wales. I called them and asked a few questions and were very helpful. He also sent the package next day recorded for a fiver. I did spend £80 on the scenery though. Ver 3 has high res areas and 3D objects.
 
I should be online for a couple hours on Sunday afternoon if anyone else is for a flyby practice, my one man harrier show, my 'follow me' car display or touch and goes in a 737NG :D using the mumble server and gamespy.
 
A few pics. the first 3 are using the new REX essential. Haven't got the best out of it yet, but the pop when you break cloud cover is fantastic.

I spent a while with the new rex and the water configurator. This must be the best water simulation I have ever experienced in FSX. Compressed pics don't do it justice. The wave motion is fantastic.

I installed REX-E yesterday its great and I agree the water is really well done. I wish the sky could be made more blue though. Even the bluest texture is not bluey enough for me! I wish I could customize it!!

Somebody just hosts a game. You just have to find the session

Cant remember if you can just join or we all have to meet in lobby first and then we go into together? well I'm flying around Biggin Hill so see if you can join?
