no these have like 100 dex 70-90 dps and 4 other stats etc . level 30. i bought one or two for 10k then purchased a square gem for £3-5k so 22k is not too expensive realy. not cheap though :D

Again, why would anyone pay that much considering the huge amount of decent gear at that level on the AH for 5k tops?

At level 10 your wasting your money buying ones for 5k+. DH do so much dmg, just get a really cheap one ignore dex at that level if its cheap. I bet you'll get ones with 18+ dps for under 1k.

I still say it's stupid spending that kind of money until you're in hell/inferno. Before that you change equipment regularly and don't need 'super' gear so you might as well just get a high dps cheapo gear from the AH for <5k.

I like having top gear. All my items have been rare items since about level 20.

Two one hand cross bows have already sold for 22k buyout :P took a few mins. sucks i only get 18400. I thought making it 22 would mean that i would get 20k but its 15% not 10%. 15% is a bit steep realy.

Most of my gear i buy from ah for less than 5k but when i had 80k gold at level 30 or so, i went a bit mad on ah and bought the best items on there. but have not paid more than 10k.

Two crossbows like this and you can get some high dps. but the fire damage is low on this for the level. Should be about 15-20 for that level.

Seriously what? They actually sold?

You've got to be a real mug to spend 22k on a bog standard lvl30 rare hand crossbow. I can pick up something probably just as good for 1-2k. The highest I've spent on an item in the AH was 20k for a Fletcher's Pride (lvl20) with fairly decent stats and I'm still using it at lvl59. For weapons I've picked up plenty of good gear for 1-2k.

On the topic of Potions. What is the highest grade? I'm using Runic atm that heal for 9k and I assume there is 1 or 2 more tiers above that?

Well Real Money AH will launch on June 12th.

Good to know a date when I will stop playing this game. It is a well published fact that inferno does require the AH to even have a chance at completing (unless you want to play for months to get that epic drop and even then may not have the stats you need). There are plenty of other very good game play experiences out there, I do not need to play this game.

I personally think that there is a real problem with this game in terms of loot (someone posted some very well written reasons a few pages back) and so it becomes an intense grind fest, that while good for a while represents utter futility and so the dependancy on the AH. Which is a shame.

It is a very enjoyable game but due to the dependancy on the AH, I think that a majority of epic and legandary loot will be on the real money AH; why would it not be? I am not prepared to pay real money for this stuff so I will be out.

You might get high dps item for 2k but the +dex +str +vit are not going to be high. For high stat items you might get lucky sometimes with a 5000 buyout but generally they go for 10-15k these days. But you can get some bargains if you just bid and have patience. But usually i buyout because i don't want to wait 2 days.

Mythic - 12.5k heal.

Same for me and I only got the game yesterday - But I will try my best but Meh I have never played a Diablo game before

Yeah standard AH will crash when RMAH comes out. Either you'll pay retarded high prices for standard stuff because of inflation (gold will devalue as all the good items will be on RMAH, and ofc people over time will get larger and larger gold reserves), or you'll have to pay real money.

RMAH is going to ruin the game which has potential to be good if Blizzard would've spent more time on the game than the legal issues surrounding the RMAH (seriously why else would it take 12 years).

Does anybody know how the elemental system works?

When a skill says x% weapon damage, if you have a weapon with say fire damage - will the skill do fire damage?

Also do enemies have weaknesses to certain elements? I know that champion packs with electrified are resistant to lightning damage - is this true for molten/fire chains - fire and arcane enchanted - arcane?

For my barb (level 40 ish) Monk (level 36 ish) and Wizard (level 52) I have been buying all rare equipment with + primary stat and Vit for under 5k buyout the whole game, stuff on AH is just cheap, there is no need to spend more until you get to 60/close to 60 and equipment becomes more crucial.

Yes it will do fire damage. The total dps is just a calculation of all the properties of the item.

When it says 10-30 fire damage that means it adds on top of the total item damage (i think). The dps however takes in to account all attributes of the item including elemental damage.

I've been a cheapskate tbh. You can grab some good bargins off the AH if you look and narrow the search down. I've been upgrading my gear via AH as I have been lvling and not once paid out more than 5k for an item.
The most expensive item I have bought was a xbow I splashed out on once I hit lvl 52 and started hell (thought I would need a better weap) I got some xbow with ~320dps and ~90dex and ~140vit some other stat and a socket I paid 16kgold for it :)
Altho the AH can be slow and **** at time. The search options are done very well imo. You can really narrow a search to what you want limit the max buyout price and have a browse around.

That all said my DH is now lvl 54 and I have started looking at upgrades for armor and prices are getting more expensive. Then again I have ~600k stored in my bank at the moment and a few items still in my stash waiting to be AHed

I think my compulsive ways have out leveled me again. im on act 2 Nightmare and im level 38 and all the loot is way lower level than me. That and ive yet to see anything better than 2 high lvl 2xs blues and a health pot drop from a boss.

What's the lvl for starting hell?

I'm level 37 act 2 nightmare and apart from a couple of yellows I'm finding it exactly the same.
